Was at the British Museum earlier today to see the tapestry (beautifully presented and so worth a visit) and had to visit this chap. It’s always good to see him.

Welcome back! Pink-foot geese coming in across the Wash on their annual migration back to Holkham. I’m an old softie, but hearing the voices of the first geese of the winter and knowing of their long journey, always brings a tear to my jaded eye.
Excellent afternoon with @NigelMiddleto12 putting up Little Owl boxes in north Norfolk.
Mining bees hard at work on our walk this afternoon. The air is heavy in this corner of Norfolk today and the skies are dramatic, but it’s so lovely to be outside.
For all my dear Twitter pals who are stuck indoors today, come and listen to the hum of bees as they feed on the ivy in a fabulous hedgerow. This hedgerow is full of food for wildlife and insects for the coming winter and it’s so lovely to see.
Can anybody give me a reason why we are ploughing up good, food-producing farmland for solar farms, and not insisting that all new build properties - commercial and private - have panels on, that does not invoke lining the pockets of the few, to the detriment of the many?
