The fact that even this health committee is being done privately behind closed doors says it all.

The priorities of the health minister continuously show us where her concerns lie. Her concern does not appear to be the safety of the patients, the quality of care, or the work conditions for the vital staff. It seems to me that @CarrollJennifer is most concerned with appearances, it’s all smoke and mirrors with her. With the new children’s hospital she didn’t want it open to be able to provide care for the children who need it, no, she wanted to be able to show it off. Similar to how with the Inquiry she ‘wanted to still be health minister’ when it is all finished. Further shows why she is fighting it being a public tribunal as that definitely wouldn’t be good for appearances would it?

The Harvey Chronicles-Post 3 Between the age of 6.5-7.5ish Harvey started dropping a lot of weight. At 7 years and 8 months old, he weighed less than 15 kilos. That’s less than our almost 4 year old now weighs. During this time he was in and out of hospital with his breathing issues and pneumonias. Despite being in regularly and always being weighed, they never flagged his weight loss. Nobody in the hospital escalated this and looked to address is. @Stephen63224725 had to insist they come up with a plan to address it. Harvey didn’t really ‘eat’ food. He relied on a prescription formula that he drank to meet his nutritional requirements. He had at the time a prescription for around 30 tins a month. This was needed to meet his requirements for growth. Did you know, that @HSELive don’t actually care what the prescription says and instead have a cap on how many you can order a month? Despite Harvey’s needs, the limit was 20 tins a month. This had to be challenged and they did then allow 45 a month so that we could give him a concentrated version for weight gain. Look how his weight climbed once he was no longer being deprived of his food. #JusticeForHarvey

Harvey Chronicles-Post 2 On one occasion where Harvey went in to theatre for urological surgery, he arrived back to us with a very obvious burn on his leg. It was a perfect circle, caused by a cauterisation tool being left sitting on his leg while someone wasn’t paying enough attention. Nobody from his team noticed. @Stephen63224725 had to alert them and point it out and then they tried to suggest it was simply a reaction to a dressing. The urologist then agreed it was a true burn and apologised as it was his theatre so he was in charge. How little attention must have been paid for this to go unnoticed while it happened and after. On the 29th July 2025, myself and @Stephen63224725 lost our eldest child Harvey. In the weeks and months that followed we had to put our grief on hold in an attempt to secure a statutory inquiry in to Children’s Health Ireland Spina Bifida and Scoliosis care. We did this because Harvey was failed, and many other children have been and continue to be failed by our health service. We did this to try and see positive change but also to see answers and accountability for the many other children. We held our grief as we marched in protest, as we met with government ministers, as we spoke in the AV room at Leinster House, when we spoke on radio, tv, and newspapers. @CarrollJennifer and @SimonHarrisTD made agreements in those meetings that they appear to now be refusing to honour. @CarrollJennifer on more than one occasion stated during those meetings that she ‘wants to still be Minister for Health’ when this inquiry is finished. That’s where her concern lay and appears to continue to lie. Our concern, as well as @SBH_PAG and @scolionetwork is, and always will be, the children and families at the centre of this. Nothing more, nothing less. A narrow scope, behind closed doors, without engagement from the families using CHI is a waste of time and tax payer money. #JusticeForHarvey #NoChildWaiting
