ALT • big scary fangs, with toxins — potent paralytic. potentially lethal in high doses • small compared to other driders. malnourishment still a concern, bc BRO NEVER LEAVES HIS FUCKING DEN!!! ◦ not playing too much w sexual dimorphism here (personal preference, plus i want certain traits to be prevalent Regardless) but the idea of f!kylar being a bit bigger is cute to me... she'd still be much smaller than average tho ◦ also hasn't molted much — parallel to male spiders molting less in general, but more importantly he isn't getting enough food to sustain himself through one • webs are very usually beautiful and intricate... but tend to become erratic in alignment with his temperament ◦ aside from... obvious web bondage shenanigans, he also takes great delight in weaving together outfits for PC. as you can imagine he is sooo normal abt seeing them dressed in his silks.

ALT • eye pattern on back are the urticating hairs!!! strictly for defensive purposes. (launching hairs = parallel to the darts? but not 1:1, as the hairs would moreso be an irritant) • DESIGN UPDATE!!! og leg configuration was w the idea of the arms being the fourth set. but im a fake fucking tarantula fan who forgot abt pedipalps/emboli. SO making it dealer's choice: 4 sets of legs + arms. or 3 sets + arms + pedipalps. or fuck it. 4 + arms + pedipalps. go stupid go crazy. whatever sparks joy. • could potentially include tibial hooks on front legs... but honestly i might just make those analogous to his claws? regardless of configuration...? • might have some sort of pheromone/aphrodisiac shenanigans going on. (male tarantulas lulling females into a state where they wont just eat them immediately). no strong thoughts on how to play w this yet tho

ALT • unimportant but. male spiders getting the FUCK out of dodge after mating gave me the incredibly funny visual of post-nut clarify scrambling away from PC like he's abt to get fucking nuked (despite PC inevitably being bound) and i had to include it. goofy ass. • blah blah typical actual spider mating involves making a web mat, rubbing against it to deposit semen, then gathering it on their emboli for reproductive purposes. obviously not using this bc we're monsterfucker-maxing but kylar Will be grinding on misc surfaces regardless of universe amen

ALT • logically. there is no reason for there to be egg for m!kylar. but oviposition fun, so we'll probably play around with that. ◦ also. regardless of sexual compatibility. i will forever portray kylar as Practically Infertile. but he doesn't realize this/is in firm denial abt it. so any eggs are lovingly woven into a sac and constantly fussed over/rotated/etc. his den would prob have various "unsuccessful" sacs all over the place because he refuses to acknowledge they're never hatching. sad (angst lover)
