But it is neither compassionate nor charitable to let someone persist in being a poor performer, particularly if they have the capacity to do better. On the contrary, getting fired may be just the thing someone needs to course correct, particularly if the firing is handled well.

Being unwilling to fire someone who is not performing too often comes from a place of misguided compassion or charity.

All too true. But why give more? Or provide additional data points for correlation?
Seems to me there’s a business opportunity in finding ways to keep our cars from snooping on us. In the meantime, no way in hell I’m buying a “connected” vehicle.

Congrats. I've been trying to redouble my efforts to clean up my sleep, with mixed results...what did you do specific to sleep to ensure you are consistently getting 7+?
I also REALLY need to remember that painting isn't so bad. The prep can be a pain, but the actual painting takes very little time, and cleanup, though rarely fun, isn't too bad either.
Maybe remembering that will help me procrastinate less on painting.
In the same vein, if you're new to spraying latex paint with an airless sprayer, starting with a ceiling not recommended. IMO, that's where you'll get the most overspray and most difficult to control the pattern. I got good results, but had to do some extra cleanup of overspray.
With the caveat that mine is a very small data set (1 ceiling & 1 wall) I am already of the opinion that an airless paint sprayer is definitely better/faster for larger jobs (i.e. an entire room, or at least multiple walls) while a brush & roller wins for one wall/ceiling.

I did find a CR-V subreddit that seems pretty sane. I also find the Prusa3d subreddit decent, and a bunch of the trades-related ones (like AskElectrician) have some good posts. But yeah, some of Reddit is a complete wasteland.

Laughing at myself realizing that you specifically said "not Reddit". I did find a couple CR-V forums, and no surprise they had opinions. Have some covers on the way, hopefully they'll be worth the dough.

Good suggestion on Reddit or a forum...hadn't thought of that. Looking for covers for a 2016 CR-V. I know there's an enthusiast forum for Odysseys, perhaps something similar is out there for CR-V. Good tip!

Not cynical enough, depending on the AI.
Weird question...has anyone in my circle bought custom car seat covers? Just got a new (to me) car, and it has black fabric upholstery, and I know that's likely to be a disaster with our dog, who is a shedding machine.
Any recommendations for a reasonably priced, quality option?

Online-only, how do you deal with test drive? I can’t imagine buying a car without driving it.

I’m such a glutton for punishment, I’m doing it again today. But at least I won’t have to do it again for a while.
