First Shopify.
Now Duolingo.
If you’re a “digital native business” (ie born in the cloud, born on mobile - think Pinterest, Airbnb, Stripe) and haven’t gotten the memo, here is the literal memo.

As a genxer, how many times have you started to respond to a post and in the middle realize that you just don't care enough to finish responding

In Iran, a student harassed by her university’s morality police over her “improper” hijab didn’t back down. She turned her body into a protest, stripping to her underwear and marching through campus—defying a regime that constantly controls women’s bodies. Her act is a powerful reminder of Iranian women’s fight for freedom. Yes we use our bodies like weapons to fight back a regime that kills women for showing their hair.
This happened at Tehran’s Science and Research University She has since been arrested by the authorities.
Be her voice.

Leaving your curiosity unexpressed is like planting a seed and never watering. Curious about...
• A habit? Try it for a week
• A topic? Buy a book about it
• A person? Ask them one question
• A skill? Block one hour to explore it
• An idea? Start a conversation about it
Day 10 of learning #Golang. I think I'm jumping ahead to more advanced dev. Taking a step back to focus on learning how to do things the Go way. Picked up the book "Learning Go" to start working through. #100DaysOfCode
Day 9 of learning #Golang. Got busy with life, but getting back to it. Implemented GORM for database connectivity and created an initial User migration. Need to learn more about best practices with GORM. #100DaysOfCode
Day 8 of learning #GoLang. Refactored my microservice to use controller and service modules.
This is the first time I've learned a new programming language and had AI as a resource. It's been a nice partner in helping me learn syntax and working with modules. #100DaysOfCode
Shout out to @cursor_ai - it's been a great dev IDE (built on VS Code).
Day 7 of learning #GoLang. Finished the official tutorials, started creating my own microservice for user management. Running a basic user route with Gin and using Air for hot reloading. Also hooked up to doppler for env. #100DaysOfCode
Day 6 of learning #GoLang. Finished the official tour with maps, functions/methods, and concurrency.
Coming from a TypeScript background, it's a little unnerving that interfaces can be implicitly implemented. #100DaysOfCode
Day 5 of learning #GoLang. Started going through the official tour of the language. I got a better understanding of arrays and how slices provide the flexiblity. It's a different way of thinking about things than the usual JavaScript arrays I'm used to. #100DaysOfCode
Day 4 of learning #GoLang. Today I focused on fuzzing and vulnerability scanning. Fuzzing is awesome for unit tests. I like how it tracks data for failed cases to make sure it runs them again. Impressed by the different tooling built into Go. #100DaysOfCode
A backend-focused newsletter I'm enjoying from @pliutau : packagemain.tech.
Day 3 of learning #GoLang. Covered read/write to db, REST API endpoints with Gin, and Generics. I love how fast and easy it is to set up an API and use the Gin Context. Itching to get my own microservice POC going. #100DaysOfCode
