One last thing, before we end the year...
Starting December 29th (yes, we are intentionally skipping the cliché New Year resolution crowd), we are kicking off a Data Structures & Algorithms (DSA) series.
This isn't a lecture from a "guru" claiming to know it all. This is an instructor-led session by a mathematics enthusiast and experienced industry engineer who is choosing to learn in public. @garima9826__ is running this cohort of DSA session and is inviting the community to learn alongside her.
If you’ve been looking for a way to start (or restart) your DSA journey with structure, accountability, and zero intimidation, this is it.
What to expect from this series:
🤝 Community First: Not a typical classroom. It’s a "let’s learn together" space.
🌐 Language Agnostic: Logic comes first. The code follows.
🧠 Deep Understanding: We focus on the Why and How, moving beyond memorizing solutions.
📈 The Real Process: We won’t jump straight to the optimized solution.
We go from: Brute Force -> Better -> Optimal.
⚡ Basics to Advanced: Starting with arrays and hashing before tackling trees and graphs.
💼 Real World Context: Discussing where these concepts actually show up in production (and interviews).
🗓️ Consistency: Daily problem-solving sessions and open doubt discussions.
Whether you are a "student just starting out" or a "working professional" (like me) wanting to keep your fundamentals sharp, you are welcome here. No prior DSA experience is needed... just basic programming familiarity.
The Details:
📅 Start Date: Dec 29th
⏰ Time: 9:00 PM - 10:00 PM (Mon-Fri)
💰 Cost: FREE
📍 Where: TeamShiksha Community, Online
Let’s hold each other accountable and actually understand the math behind the code.
👉 To join, follow the steps to join our discord and find the session details in the thread below.
All video sessions will be in zoom and the community chat will be in the dedicated channel in our Discord.
👋 See you in the sessions!

🚀🚀 FREE cohort to learn AI Engineering… open for all… to join, understand what it is:
I just wrapped up an awesome journey with Designing Data Intensive Applications. From February to August, I ran a public learning cohort, sticking with the book all the way through, it was the first time we ran a cohort this long. We finished something this solid, and really got what the book was teaching.
If you haven’t read it yet and you work with big data or want to understand how data is stored and managed in the cloud, I highly recommend you get into it. Trust me, it's super useful before you jump into advanced topics like machine learning or using models for big data tasks.
For me, it’s like learning to drive a manual car before moving to automatic… getting the basics right just helps everything else make sense later.
Now, I’m excited to start my next learn in public series with Team Shiksha.
If you’re new, this is where we pick a topic, break it down from the ground up, and level up together as a community.
This time, I plan to get handson with AI engineering. It’s a big, fast moving field… things like LLMs and AI agents are everywhere.
To be honest, there’s no fixed plan yet. We’re going to explore, try to understand how these systems are built, how they’re trained (even thinking about how we might train our own), and how people use AI agents in work and life today.
If you’re interested in joining us, drop a reply “Agents” below. I’ll send you an invite to our Discord. (Ensure you’ve followed me, so I can DM)
Planning to kick things off later in August.
Let’s learn together. 👀🙌
If you have read so far, help me reach new folks, 🔂 for good karma.

Anytime I remotely think about ki kuch aur karte hain life mein, messages like these pop up out of nowhere and remind me of how hard it is for most people to get their foot in the door.
Getting someone into tech has compounding effects for everyone around them. #CactroChronicles

We are onboarding new mentors for the platform.
Sunny, Avinash & Shashwat originally started this as a free server to come together and learn. We have come a long way from there.
If you are excited about the possibilities of learning by teaching, and are looking to build a personal brand, please reach out to @sunnykgupta and he should be able to get you to take a few sessions or drive an entire cohort.
If you are a learner with us, do help us reach more people and 🔂 this post.
Note that we are still a free platform and do not charge for the sessions. We have a TeamShiksha Pro membership for a select few, but it is under the wraps.

❓What stops you from learning DSA? Why the friction?
I am not talking about leetcoding or doing 20 gazzillion questions.
Just talking about the pure core concepts and knowledge.
Not the interview shenanigans.
I am starting a DSA server for the pure love of the topic. Not for interviews, not for tamasha. If interested, reshare and reply to this, and stay tuned for more.
(RE: - Have not started the server yet. Trying to gauge if people are even interested, before I commit my multiple years in it)

A recruiter friend of mine recently revealed why 90% of job seekers never get hired.
I've been studying recruitment processes and how to hack them for a few years now — first to land my own job and later to help Code Samaaj bootcamp participants secure jobs.
In this pursuit, I've connected with many recruiters, HR executives, and founders. Most of them were either bad at hiring or outright clueless about recruitment strategies — but the good ones?
I vibe with them really well.
Recently, over a casual chai meet, one such recruiter friend—who manages hiring for a lean travel tech startup—shared the 6 biggest reasons why most job seekers never get hired.
With the current job market in defensive mode, even top talent is struggling to get hired. But if you avoid these 6 mistakes, you can still break through: 👇

nobody will remember:

- how many hours you worked
people will remember:
- nothing!

Built something after a long time using HTML, CSS, and javascript. Thanks @RealDevSquad and @ankushdharkar for creating a great community for people like us, every person there brings something new.
Link: basic-lift-simulation-app.ne…
because if the roots of a building are not strong you can't build the whole apartment there, so keep working on improving basics more and try to build something small using plain HTML, CSS, and javascript and try to make it more functional and better without using any library.
