The 24-Hour Economy was launched in July 2025 with a target of 1.7 million jobs by the end of 2028.
By July 2026, government said it had signed $5.5 billion worth of project agreements, with four projects expected to create over 160,000 jobs. Those jobs were projections, not 160,000 people already employed.
Then in September 2026, the Chairman of the National Development Planning Commission said job creation under the programme was “yet to gather speed as much as it should.” Meanwhile, the latest official unemployment figure is still 13%, with nearly 2 million young people not working, studying or learning a trade.
The investments sound promising. I genuinely hope the jobs come. Until they do, 160,000 expected jobs are still 160,000 expected jobs.
Young people need the actual jobs 👍🏾

EOCO MUST PURSUE THE KINGPINS, NOT PERSECUTE POLITICAL OPPONENTS
The public impression of the Government is increasingly one of a leadership that is shy of focusing on what matters but prioritises optics and, at the same time, is ultra-sensitive to criticism. A state that aggressively pursues a lawyer-legislator defending a victim of human rights abuse must, at the very least, show equal, if not greater, determination in fighting the drug barons using Ghana as a major global transhipment hub.
According to a JoyNews report of 1 October 2026, "Ghana has recorded 11 cocaine cases in 28 drug busts since March 2025, according to a JoyNews Research tally of seizures by NACOC, the National Intelligence Bureau, the Ghana Police Service and foreign authorities."
JoyNews Research estimates the total street value of the cocaine seized to be as high as $1.7 billion.

The job doesn't end after voting for them, after voting for them you have to press them to work.

go back to your manifesto and find the solutions you promised.
If, after two years in office, you are still presenting short-term solutions to problems that require long-term fixes, then questions must be asked about the effectiveness of your approach.
You have FOUR YEARS to govern, not 4 years to keep recycling short-term solutions every six months. You cannot keep introducing temporary measures every 6months for the same problem and expect people to see that as progress.
we vote for leaders, pay people to make decisions and solve problems. Committees are set up to investigate, countless meetings are held, experts deliberate on the issues, and after all of that, we still end up with another short-term solution.
at some point, the question becomes: when do we get the permanent solution? it’s already two years.

The President calls for stakeholder engagement, while EOCO attempts to take a sitting MP in at the High Court.
EOCO says the MP had ignored two earlier invitations, so the issue deserves proper scrutiny. But surely, law enforcement and stakeholder engagement must both operate

So @GhPoliceService you’re telling us Ghana Jollof is not just one person ? This is embarrassing 🙈! From Alberta to Salomey to Barbara 😞.

Yesterday Ghana Jollof was Alberta, today it’s Babara. But someone out there says we shouldn’t joke with the investigative prowess of the Police. Why would we dare joke with the police if next week Ghana Jollof could be any one of us mother?

This proves that our security services have no intelligence at all. One Ghana Jollof, Multiple real names🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
