My thoughts exactly, every single day.
"I couldn't be more proud to be from St. Louis." - @patmaroon #StanleyCup
I have had this argument many times at my house! I’m from STL and I’ve always heard it as paper, rock, scissors. Plus they beat each other in that order, which I always figured made even more sense @UncleCharlie50
Big discussion over here at my house. How do you say it: rock, paper, scissors Or Paper, rock, scissors ? We say paper rock scissors and I think that’s a thing in the south. Maybe? Starting with rock sounds bad to me.

Decker is one of my guys @stanfordmenslax and I’m so proud of him for speaking up and telling his story. Here’s hoping it sparks change.
"Stanford now has more than 10,000 administrators who oversee the 7,761 undergraduate and 9,565 graduate students—almost enough for each student to have their own personal butler. " thefp.com/p/stanfords-war-ag…

I remember watching the morning after and thinking the moment was peak hubris. I've enjoyed watching it all fall down.

As someone who was directly responsible for building the developer ecosystem for Facebook Portal, I completely agree. It shocked top mgmt that 3p partners didn’t want to build on our device stack. They assumed it would be easy as social partnerships.
My Contrarian view: Apple AR headset will be a huge hit with a ton of killer apps quickly emerging — embarrassing $meta which had a massive head start, but didn’t court developers properly

The App Store continues to make a strong case for antitrust reform if not outright legal action.
Apple has update its App Store guidelines to require that social media post “boosts” be purchased as IAPs, entitling Apple to 30% of that advertising revenue. This is new as of iOS 16.1, which was released today
If you ever feel like big tech has fixed all the easy problems, remember it takes six clicks to import an ICS appointment into @GoogleWorkspace. Even they have room to improve 😉

They will never be fully out of inventory, bc that = failure. This is a slow burn to graceful irrelevancy.

One of the best pieces of research/media this week: For poor children, living in an area where people have more friendships that cut across class lines significantly increases how much they earn in adulthood nytimes.com/interactive/2022…

Truth. Hope to see more billionaires put their capital to use for the good of humanity, in truly altruistic ways like this. Many rigged systems can and should be fixed.

An underrated reason why some ambitious high slope people change jobs every few years is that their org/company will always maintain some residual memory of their skills & abilities from 1-2 yrs ago and cannot fully appreciate who they are now. A job change resets the y-intercept
