That sounds more like individual maturity; team maturity also depends on the ability of the team to communicate, agree on, act on, and grow the collective knowledge.

We tried this and it was called DevOps; but that name got coopted into running one part of the SDLC infrastructure and that's the last we ever heard of that.

If only there was some concept where we merge the role of developer and the role of operator into one cohesive role. We could make this new role responsible for running build servers and put even more distance between the developers and the operation of their programs.

The OxCaml website kinda makes these points, but not as succinctly. It might be worth pushing a change to the copy. (I have no skin in the game though)

Do any of the other markup languages supported by GitHub solve your problem? github.com/github/markup?tab… The asciidoc renderer (and syntax) may meet your needs.

Do you think daily standovers decaying to status update meetings is a natural result of using a visualisation tool that prioritises item state over everything else?

A fantastic data visualisation by @CaseyBriggs showing how the decline in national support for the major parties translates into declining support seat by seat, increasing the number of contest involving Independents and minor parties. abc.net.au/news/2025-04-24/e…

It also helped that Alex wasn't just saying that SentinelOne was better; he was defending SentinelOne's other competitors too.

Ah. That makes sense. I'm curious where f# and ocaml land based on your rubric.

I'm surprised at the lack of languages from the ML family.

I kinda like it when Twitter's CDN is overloaded and images don't load. It reminds me of plain text twitter. #oldmanyellsatcloud

At the company I work for we mainly use Miro for planning. The trick is we maintain very small backlogs, even tho there's ALWAYS more to be worked on than we can. We still use Jira for support and bug tracking, but close ticket ASAP by either fixing now or deciding not to fix

I can appreciate why the ATO is offended that this is being compared to robodebt - if they are certain that the 13 cases where a tax refund was garnished were remediated before the refund was fully processed, and no other cases resulted in any externally observable effects.
