i dont think personal software are gonna be a thing just yet purely because no one has the time to actively maintain software especially for non technical people
most “personal software” are ephemeral still, used one then thrown away
but at some point agents and harnesses will get so good that your apps dont just maintain themselves but also improve without you knowing
which has already started happening at capy

Clicky is Mac-only. So I built her for Windows and open-sourced it.
Meet Clacky, an AI buddy that lives next to your cursor and sees what you see. Ask her to teach you anything on your screen… or tell her to go, and she just does it.

If a site or app forces me to answer some unnecessary question before I can continue, I always give a wrong answer. How did you hear about us? Radio. Does anyone else do that?

we built Guild.
bricklayers and informal workers in Nigeria have been invisible to the financial system forever. no smartphone, no bank record, every job ends in cash and disappears
here is how Guild works
These informal workers get onboarded via our field agents.
a contractor posts a job and budget on the web or WhatsApp. payment goes into escrow via Squad. our AI agent then calls the worker directly on their button phone or sends an SMS, negotiates the job, and confirms the match
Once the job is done. payout hits their Squad or bank account immediately
that transaction is now on record. do that enough times and a bank can finally see you exist and give opportunities to loans and other benefits.
we also built a solid API doc so banks and financial institutions can plug straight into Guild and start offering these workers loans and financial products

We just won Squad Hackathon 3.0! It was the craziest experience ever. 🔥
1,600 people applied. We got selected to the top 800. When we reached the venue, they surprised us with the format. We knew nothing before.
They gave us 3 tough rounds of online quizzes on DSA, algorithms, and live coding like LeetCode. We came top in all three rounds and entered the top 50.
Later, they picked the top 10 teams. We presented our idea and the judges loved it because it was unique and well built.
What an amazing journey! So grateful to my team.

Naval Ravikant explains why "the meaning of life" is the wrong question:
"It's a 'why' question. You can keep asking 'why' forever. Any answer I give you, you just ask 'why' again."
Naval explains where every "why" question ends:
"There's a thing called Agrippa's Trilemma. It says that any questioning like this will always end in one of three places. First is infinite regress: 'why?' 'because of this,' 'why?' and you just keep playing it. Second is circular reasoning: 'why A?' 'because of B,' 'why B?' 'because of A.' Third is an axiom. The most popular axiom is God.
But it could be anything: math, science, the Big Bang, the simulation. These are all just stopping points. Saying 'we're in a simulation' or 'it's the Big Bang' is just another way of saying God. It's just that God's a dirty word now."
He shares what this means:
"So there is no answer. The real answer is 'because.' You get to make up your own answers. The beauty is, if there was a single answer, we would not be free. We would be trapped. We'd be Borg-like robots competing with each other to fulfill that single meaning. But luckily there is no answer. So you just do whatever you want."
Naval addresses the fear of being insignificant:
"All the great questions are paradoxes. You're asking, 'Do I matter?' On one hand, you're completely separate. No one will have your thoughts, your emotions, your experience. Your life is a single-player game. You're trapped inside your head.
On the other hand, I cannot say the words 'Joe Rogan' without invoking the entire universe. What's Joe Rogan? A human. What's a human? A bipedal ape. What's an ape? On earth. What's earth? A planet. Where was the carbon made? Inside stars. I have to create the entire universe just to say the words 'Joe Rogan.'"
He concludes:
"So the answer to 'Do I matter?' is: I am nothing and I am everything. The answers to all great questions are paradoxes. It's pointless to pursue them for a trite answer, but the act of pursuing them brings a level of peace."

we tried to build this ourselves at cluely, but it's a hard problem to solve
fundamentally the problem is with the models
for proactive ai glasses (or even just proactive ai), you need
> sub 300ms response time
> continuous visual scene understanding
> super high precision on "when to help"
> insane context window
> ultra low-friction output (a text blob is high friction)
and like 10 other core features that just don't exist yet
impressed that this team does not stop and are constantly finding workarounds to try and win an obvious future form factor
