With the AfD, I have far greater doubts.

i think liz is telling the truth in the who's on first scene. she really truly does not get it. a funny kind of double empathy problem; liz does not possess the theory of mind necessary to understand the joke, and carreyrou does not possess the theory of mind necessary to understand how liz can possibly not possess the theory of mind necessary to understand the joke
people who are both intelligent and neurodivergent can end up as adults with really weird deficits that they compensate for with intelligence, in a way that more normal people can't, and that feels intuitively wrong because you're like "how did you manage to found theranos and still have this crazy deficit" but that's backwards, it's exactly because she was the sort of person who could found theranos that she's also the sort of person who could get away with having this kind of deficit
similarly i disagree with carreyrou's read of the photography studio scene but this one is less interesting to me. i don't think it's productive to think in terms of whether liz craves the spotlight or not. what she clearly craves is a sense of mission, and she liked the spotlight when it felt aligned with her mission and doesn't like it when it isn't

Honestly, most of my issues with Retail WoW could be solved without fundamentally changing what Retail is. I love the game, but there are a few things I'd really like to see improved.
1.) Heroic World Tier.
Give us a Heroic world tier, maybe even Mythic. I'd love for the open world to feel dangerous again without forcing that experience on everyone.
2.) Better Delve Difficulty and Exploration.
Make higher tier Delves mechanically harder instead of just scaling enemy health and damage. Give us more interesting challenges to overcome. I mainly play these with my wife and enjoy how we can play it at our own pace as opposed to Mythic+ where it's a speed run.
3.) Slightly Easier Raids.
Bring raid difficulty down just a hair, particularly Heroic. I'm not asking for free kills, but I think the difficulty curve could use some adjustment.
4.) Better Gear Progression.
This ties into raid difficulty. Right now, Heroic almost feels like you need full Heroic gear to comfortably clear it. I'd rather see difficulty tuned down slightly and gear progression stretched out a bit. Let us actually progress through the content as we earn the gear instead of feeling like we need the rewards before we can complete it.
5.) More Downtime Activities.
One of my biggest complaints is that nearly every system uses combat as its primary interface. Give us profession quests, racial quests, class quests, and other activities that take us around Azeroth. Not everything needs to involve killing something. Give us reasons to exist in the world outside of pushing content.
6.) USE THE FUCKING WORLD YOU'VE BUILT!
The Arcantina is a fantastic example of this. So was the Eco-Dome sending us back to older zones in TWW. You have over 20 years of locations, characters, stories, and worldbuilding sitting there. Go back and use that shit! Give us new stories and reasons to revisit places we haven't had a reason to visit in years.
I don't want Retail to become Classic or Forever. I like modern WoW. I like its combat, its systems, and the direction it's taken in a lot of areas.
I just want more WORLD in my World of Warcraft.
Oh and fix the fucking Zeplins for fucks sake. I'm so sick of portals.

so, first of all, she’s obviously some kind of autistic. she has sort of elfin neotenous facial features that remind me of some other autistic women i know and i assume there’s a connection there but idk what specifically
there’s a kind of rizz that autistic women in particular can develop, that involves being unguarded in a certain way, learning to drop energetic defenses that most other women have up most of the time. it’s compelling in a confusing way, and i think you can see nathan being simultaneously compelled and confused by liz doing this at several points
when it’s happening it feels like she is radiating childlike innocence, it doesn’t feel like you’re being charmed by a master manipulator or whatever. but, i think you can tell a plausible story about a type of woman who learns this is a button she can push to get men in particular to like her, who gets RLed into pushing this button, not necessarily consciously. strategies like this work best when you aren’t aware you have them
when you put that idea together with stuff nathan has said about the experience of being around liz - “we’d completely disagree on what something meant to us”, “feeling of cognitive dissonance”, “our brains were scrambled” - and with what’s in the doc itself, i think you can vibecode a picture of a reality distortion field powered by this sort of fundamental innocence. i think she fundamentally believes what she’s saying, and nathan picks up on this energy repeatedly. but that doesn’t mean she doesn’t have huge blindspots, which are on some level being intentionally maintained so that her life strategies don’t collapse
