This is the stupidest day in American history, a record that will be broken by every subsequent day in American history.

With the world looking elsewhere, the militarization of aid adds another layer to Israel’s deliberate imposition of genocidal conditions against Palestinians in the occupied Gaza Strip. Hundreds of Palestinians have been killed and injured at or near aid distribution points since Israel’s weaponized “humanitarian” aid distribution system was imposed at the end of May. Families are being forced into an impossible choice: die of hunger or die trying to get food. Seeking food should never be a death trap. Israel must end its genocide and lift the blockade now. This is probably the best way I've ever seen to visualize the climate of a city, and it's great for comparing two cities, like Madrid and London here. Grouping temperatures by how they feel, organizing data by day to get high resolution, and using shading to show daylight hours, all very clever. You can even check specific years. Super useful for planning vacations! Great work by the people at @weatherspark.

Seriously, stop whatever you are doing for a minute and listen to Reggie Jackson speak truth about American realities in his lifetime.
Alex Rodriguez asked a question. Reggie Jackson answered it. (Shouts to the producer and rest of the desk for staying out of Reggie’s way and just letting him talk. I doubt they expected this answer. But it’s a great few minutes of television.)

I just can’t get past Labour winning 65% of seats off 34% of the vote. Absolutely wild mismatch between the headline result and, well, everything else. Britain is now a multi-party system, and first-past-the-post can’t cope.
