#HappyBirthday to Derek Warwick, 71 today. BRDC British F3 champion in 1978 & European F2 runner-up in 1980, Warwick started 146 Grand Prix between 1981-1993, twice finishing 2nd. In 1992, he won the 24 Hours of Le Mans & the World Sportscar Championship. #F1

I’ve long wondered why Harry Maguire gets so much abuse and I’m pleased Gareth Southgate has said what he’s said. I don’t know him that well personally but he’s a very good player and he appears to be a decent person. He’s never let England down yet he seems to be ridiculed constantly. Very sad.

So sorry to learn that Slim Borgudd , the drummer and racer died today again 76. Little F1 success but fantastic Champion truck racer , nice guy. My obituary on the Motor Sport mag website tomorrow. Did you know he got his nickname because he jammed with Mephis Slim in N Orleans.
