Don’t waste time trying to convince someone to love you, call you, come see you, spend time with you. You are a gift. You are a treasure.

We like to hold on to people. “Stay here. Meet my needs; keep it the same.” It takes maturity to let people walk away. It takes trust. You’re saying, “God, I know You’re my doorkeeper. You’re opening and closing the doors of relationships in my life”. Let God bring your relationships; trust Him with who comes into your life.

Proverbs 16:3 says, “Commit to the Lord whatever you do, and He will establish your plans.” You may feel that you can’t do it on your own, but you’re not on your own. You can commit your relationship to the God who is committed to you.

Yes, God’s been good to you. He’s provided. He’s protected. He’s made ways. You could be satisfied, but you haven’t seen anything yet. God loves you too much to let you miss the fullness of what He has in store.

There are times in life when everything will try to get you to fight. Worry about this child. Get bitter over this hurt, feel guilty from your mistakes. The Scripture says, “Be still and know that He is God.” God said in Psalms, “Sit at My right hand.” If you’ll sit, God will make those enemies a footstool.

The good news is God doesn’t judge you by one mistake, or by two mistakes, or by five thousand mistakes. His calling on your life is irrevocable. You may have counted yourself out, but God has already counted you in. He chose you before you could choose Him.

David said, “You will prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies.” He didn’t say my enemies are going to go away. Their presence may still be there, but their power is gone. They don’t control you. They don’t dictate your joy, stop your purpose, take your passion. They are under your feet.

God already has what you’re believing for. Instead of being frustrated, living worried, “Why is this taking so long?” Let Him work. Our attitude should be, “God, I trust You. I trust Your timing”.

Do your part and don’t let the offense stay on the throne. Don’t let the bitterness, the worry, the doubt rule over you. Take it from that high place and put it under your feet. It may not totally go away, but now it’s not dominating your thoughts. It’s not keeping you worried. You’re ruling over what tried to stop you.

Taking matters into your own hands, trying to prove to people who you are, that’s not the way to deal with enemies. You’re letting the hurt, the bitterness reign. The Scripture says, “Sit at My right hand until I make your enemies a footstool.” Sitting means you’re at peace, you’re trusting God to fight your battles, you know He’s going to make it up to you.

Sometimes, when you feel down, people are not encouraging, the obstacle seems too big, you need to look up and hear the grandstands of heaven calling your name. They believe in you. They know you have what it takes. God has raised you up for this time.

The Bible says we are to wait upon the Lord; it doesn’t say that we’re to wait for all of our prayers to be answered or for situations to change before we can be happy and keep living. We’re to wait expectantly on the Lord with joy and passion right now.

What kind of prayers are you praying? “God, help me to make it through. Help me survive." Don’t pray weak prayers, survival prayers, help me to get by prayers. If you’re going to see God step in, you need to pray bold prayers. “God, show out in my life. Let Your goodness be seen.”

We are the happiest and the healthiest when we are loving and serving other people. Make a point to understand how important loving, serving relationships are, and how important it is to be in community with one another.

God is not intimidated by the size of your request. When it brings Him honor, displays His power, that gets His attention. He says, “Here’s someone that believes I can do something unusual, uncommon, where people will know I am all-powerful.”

If you can move into something comfortably and in your own strength, not much faith is required. It is only when you’re uncomfortable or beyond what you think you can accomplish that it is necessary to stretch your faith and partner with God.

Don’t let Jesus pass you by. Keep pressing in, keep believing, keep praying, and reach out to God. Know that He is faithful, and He will meet your faith with His power.

The enemy would love for you to go through life condemned, wearing all these negative labels: doubter, compromiser, addicted, failed, unworthy. Do yourself a favor, remove those labels and put on what God says about you: redeemed, forgiven, blessed, prosperous, qualified, victorious.

You may have made mistakes, but you have to learn to forgive yourself. Quit beating yourself up over what didn’t work out. Sometimes we can forgive others easier than we can forgive ourselves.
