Given the EHRC opened an investigation into Labour for its anti-semitism surely it’s now going to have to open one into the Greens.

No-one has been more critical of Keir Starmer than me. But one thing I will say. Today’s vote shows how successful he was in driving the racists out of Labour. The Greens will now pay a heavy price for accepting them, and allowing a hard-Left takeover of their party.

Today, the Green Party in Britain ceased to act as a political party and became a body that gives legitimacy to terrorism. The Greens have adopted not only the green of Hamas, but also its ideology: the elimination of the State of Israel through armed struggle. The shocking resolution adopted today legitimises armed struggle, calls for a Palestinian state “from the river to the sea” - meaning the destruction of the State of Israel - and labels as “racist” the aspiration of the Jewish people for self-determination. This goes far beyond the boundaries of legitimate political debate. As long as this resolution remains in place, it will be a stain on the history of the United Kingdom. Every political party in Britain, first and foremost the governing Labour Party, must unequivocally reject this twisted resolution.

@UEFA has approved the Israel Football Association’s request for the national team to wear black armbands in tonight’s match against @IrelandFootball in memory of those murdered in the October 7 massacre. May their memory be a blessing.

Back from the cinema having watched Pressure. An exceptional film with a compelling Andrew Scott as Group Captain James Stagg who was Chief Meteorologist advising Eisenhower on D-Day weather. Stagg was under huge pressure to say GO but backed his judgement to say STOP. Then GO.

It’s fascinating studying characters who stick to their guns despite huge pressure. Churchill in 1940. Daniel in Babylon. We need more people of independent thought and strong backbone.

This is where Ireland is right now. Admired by monsters.
We would like to extend our highest respects to the Irish national football team, the men of honor.

Pathetic, performative nonsense from the Irish v Israel yesterday. Clearly they have contracted Israel Derangement Syndrome. ⚽️

So touching: Ireland soccer team wears black ribbons and refuse to shake the hands of the Israeli team members as they identify with Gaza. But- Last month, Ireland’s cricket team had no trouble whatsoever to play and shake the hands of Afghanistan’s cricket team. As a reminder, approximately 200,000 people were killed in Afghanistan in the last war. Since Taliban took over the country in 2021, women’s rights are non existent! Hypocrisy at its best!

Brenda Power is a rare voice of moral clarity amongst the Irish commentariat on this issue. In under a minute she eviscerates Ireland’s hypocrisy. ‘There wasn’t a single peep of protest to the Irish cricket team voluntarily playing Afghanistan last month, where women are treated worse than battery chickens. It is the most extreme humanitarian crisis in the world right now, as far as I can see, the gender apartheid in Afghanistan. Not a word of protest.’ ‘Where was your indignation when we played [Afghanistan]? England wouldn’t play them, South Africa wouldn’t play them, New Zealand wouldn’t play them. The great humanitarians in Ireland had absolutely no difficulty. We’re hypocrites.’
