In the midst of a bonkers semester, I forgot to post an image of these beauties, which arrived a couple of months ago from @SaturnaliaBooks. I'm grateful to have this book alive in the world.
Friends: I'm getting off Twitter/X because @elonmusk supported a man who sought to violently overthrow the results of the 2020 election.
That twat can eat a bag of toe jam.
So: find me on Blue Sky, ya'll: @derekmong.bsky.social
Reading @Shteyngart’s Absurdistan while waiting two hours to vote was, in retrospect, a dark foreshadowing of the adminstration to come.
Join Jesse Nathan, Isabella Mansfield, and I for poetry tonight at Tomorrow Bookstore in Indianapolis.
Because it sure as shits beats hanging around Elon Musk's asshat social media platform.

It may be time to try some of the coping strategies I wrote about in this essay @ThePublicSquare. The world's quotient of awfulness is on the rise.

There are over 500 people in the @KamalaHarris phonebank right now. Yesterday, there were over 400, and 400 the day before that. This buoys me. This keeps me strong. #SaveDemocracy

It has been a busy enough day that I almost forgot that When the Earth Flies into the Sun celebrates its publication! It's official and out in the world--with thanks to @SaturnaliaBooks for all their hard work!
Wearing my Alan Trammell jersey while I address @Postcards2WIN bound for the great state of Michigan. Come on, Michiganders! Let's deliver for @KamalaHarris.
Nothing to see here but a bunch of @WabashCollege guys reading poetry and eating pizza on the night before Fall Break. So honored that they chose WTEFITS to discuss! Thanks, ya'll!
Had a lovely time yesterday evening doing some poetry reading and discussion with friends. We even got to go over some poems from @derek_mong's new book, "When the Earth Flies into the Sun," which I would highly recommend!
Well, look at that: "The Ghost Ship," a poem from my collection, When the Earth Flies into the Sun (@SaturnaliaBooks), was on @versedailypoems this week. Official pub date for WTEFITS: next Tuesday!
