Results Matter—Mayor Derek Armstead Named Mayor of the Year by the Business Community! For decades, the former GM property sat vacant and generated no tax revenue for Linden. Under Mayor Derek Armstead’s leadership, that changed. He transformed an abandoned property into a powerful economic asset—creating new opportunities, strengthening Linden’s tax base, and delivering results for taxpayers. #ResultsMatter #MayorDerekArmstead #LindenNJ #EconomicDevelopment #LindenProgress @HassidicLinden

🐾 LEASH YOUR DOG/ SECURE YOUR PROPERTY— PROTECT OUR CHILDREN AND NEIGHBORS! As your Mayor, I want to make one thing very clear: The safety of our children, families, and residents must always come first. To all dog owners: Responsible pet ownership is not optional. It is your responsibility. 🐾 LEASH YOUR DOG: Keep your dog properly restrained and under control whenever required by law. 🐾 CURB YOUR DOG: Clean up after your pet and help keep our sidewalks, parks, and neighborhoods clean. 🐾 SECURE YOUR PROPERTY: Make sure gates, fences, and doors are secure so dogs cannot escape or roam freely. 🐾 RESPECT YOUR NEIGHBORS: Not everyone feels comfortable around dogs, especially young children. Be considerate of others. Whether you are a homeowner, renter, or landlord, we all share a responsibility to maintain safe neighborhoods. Let me be clear: No child should be afraid to walk down the street, play outside, or enjoy their neighborhood. Linden is a diverse community where families of every faith, culture, and background deserve to feel safe and respected. Let’s work together, practice responsible pet ownership, and look out for one another. Because protecting our children isn’t political. It’s personal. Mayor Derek Armstead Leading with Empathy. Putting Families First. @HassidicLinden #LindenNJ #MayorDerekArmstead #CurbYourDog #ResponsiblePetOwnership #ChildSafety #SafeNeighborhoods #CommunityFirst #LeadingWithEmpathy

OUTRAGE in Linden’s Jewish community after terrifying footage showed a child being chased by a dog. A dog-safety campaign is now circulating among families. The incident raises serious concerns over irresponsible renters and the safety of children in this family neighborhood.

Vote -Vote-Vote-This is the social security election, our economy, healthcare, AI guardrails, and so much more. We must continue protecting Social Security, Medicare, and Medicaid. These programs are essential safety nets, especially now, when the economy seems to favor the wealthy while middle-class and working families struggle to make ends meet. Our seniors have worked hard and paid into Social Security. They deserve the benefits they have earned, and future generations deserve that same security. We need to strengthen these programs, not weaken them. Working families deserve better! Vote Democrat Column A and Column 2 at the bottom. #ProtectSocialSecurity #Medicare #Medicaid #WorkingFamilies #MiddleClassMatters

Good Morning, Everyone ! As you go about your day today, remember that God has a plan for your life. Even when the road gets difficult, the answers aren’t clear, or things don’t happen when you expect them to, never lose faith. Trust God’s timing, believe in His promises, and have faith in the journey. Sometimes what feels like a setback is simply God preparing you for something greater. Keep praying, keep believing, and keep moving forward. What’s meant for you will come in God’s perfect timing. Trust the process. Trust the journey. Most importantly, trust God! Have a blessed and beautiful Monday, Linden! ☀️ #GoodMorningLinden #MondayMotivation #FaithOverFear #TrustGod #TrustTheProcess #GodsTiming #StayBlessed #LindenNJ

🇺🇸 HOUSE MINORITY LEADER HAKEEM JEFFRIES VISITS LINDEN! Linden welcomed U.S. House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries, alongside Congressional District 7 candidate Rebecca Bennett, for a special gathering encouraging Democrats to get out and vote in the upcoming election! And what did we talk about with Minority Leader Jeffries and Rebecca Bennett? We discussed one of the serious challenges facing our community: the creek that contributes to flooding on some of our streets during high tides and heavy rainfall. We spoke about the urgent need for federal investment to help alleviate this ongoing problem and protect our residents, homes, and neighborhoods. Ultimately, relationships, partnerships, and collaboration among local, county, state, and federal governments are essential to delivering real solutions for our residents. Regardless of partisan beliefs or differences of opinion, I hope we can all agree on one thing: protecting our neighborhoods, addressing flooding, and improving the quality of life for our residents should always be a shared priority. This is about people, not politics. Working together is how we move Linden forward! Vote Column A and Column 2 for the Board of Education 🗳️ Election Day: Tuesday, November 3, 2026 #LindenNJ #HakeemJeffries #RebeccaBennett #FloodPrevention #FederalInvestment #WorkingTogether #CommunityFirst #LindenStrong #Election2026

🌎✈️ Exciting news for our Linden families! The Linden Public Schools’ Multilingual Learners Department has added two more exchange trips! Students will now have the choice to travel to China, Spain, or Canada, opening doors to new cultures, experiences, and friendships. 🌱 Good news, Linden! Construction of Linden’s new anaerobic digester facility is now more than 80% complete! As one of the largest facilities of its kind in the country, it will turn food waste into renewable natural gas, bringing jobs, clean energy, and a more sustainable future to our community. Proven leadership and results matter. On November 3, vote for continued progress: Democrats in Column A and Board of Education candidates in Column 2.

A call for Action-In Linden, we take care of our seniors. They helped build our community, and they deserve our love, respect, and support. Too many seniors today face loneliness, food insecurity, and rising healthcare costs. Let’s check on our elderly neighbors and remind them they are never forgotten. Remember, God calls us to love our neighbors and care for those in need. #CareForOurSeniors #CheckOnYourNeighbors #FaithInAction #KindnessMatters #lindennj @HassidicLinden

Touching testimony from a Linden resident. So here's my experience New to Linden & originally from New York City but have lived in Linden for 6 years now. To be honest, I haven't had much faith in this city for a long time. Moving here in 2020 during COVID meant everything was shut down; I couldn't make connections, and my daughter was very young, so our exposure to the community was limited since I kept her home. I’ve spent the better part of these 6 years not feeling connected, and I recently contemplated moving because it just didn't feel like home; but, lately, things have been shifting. We have a couple of good friends now—the Diaz family and the Lewis family, shout out to them! Additionally, today was a true testament to how a city should make you feel when things are done right. With the nor'easter predicted for this weekend, I saw a Facebook post from the Mayor about ensuring everyone was prepared. I realized, "Uh-oh, we don’t even have a flashlight if the power goes out." The post included a phone number with a note to call if anyone needed anything. Now, I’m the type of person who takes you up on your offer if you make me one —so I called and guess what? The Mayor made a house call and brought us a flashlight. That kind of gesture to a resident means the world, especially to an "outsider" from NYC (and you know how we New Yorkers can be! lol). Getting a true feel for a small town—feeling included, seen, and welcomed—meant everything to my family. So Thank you, Derek Armstead Mayor of Linden for being a man of your word and coming through for us today. Who knows, we might need it in the future, but thank you for coming through today. Also to Barry Javik, DPW & The health department for taking the call and getting things done when they were needed for us. To anyone trying to navigate the "noise" and figure out who's who in a climate of confusion: collect your own data. Get your own experiences, and make your decisions about people based on that, not based on the noise. Sometimes God places us in someone’s path at just the right moment. Say Amen if you believe God puts us where we can help others. 🙏

UPDATE: The booming sounds were fireworks. 🎆 After looking into the loud sounds heard across our city tonight, we learned they came from a fireworks celebration in neighboring Union Township. I know the noise was alarming, and I appreciate everyone’s patience @HassidicLinden

Hello, Linden residents. The nor’easter is here, and I spent this morning driving around our city to check conditions. Linden could see prolonged rain, strong winds, and tidal flooding, with gusts potentially reaching 60 mph. @HassidicLinden
