ANTHEM the most consistent top quality Heavy Rock band from Japan played in Singapore yesterday 25th May 2025 at the Esplanade Studio. It was an awesome, spectacular, loud, heavy, fast, yet melodic performance with some surprises in the setlist. A dynamic memorable experience.

The latest Japanese Black Metal band CHARLOTTE THE HARLOT release has arrived and as usual another glorious collection of songs. This new one is a split with Androalphus. Very contrasting styles from these two bands.

The new Drummer for Iron Maiden is Simon Dawson. Found this video on my phone of the video I record of him and Steve Harris playing together with British Lion in 2023 at Nottingham. I was actually rooting for Steve's Nephew - Joe Lazarus to be the new drummer. Anyway Good Luck.

LOUDNESS the supreme & respected Japanese band returned to Singapore on 15 September 2024 to play Esplanade Annexe Studio to about 200 fans in a tight intimate setting. About 100 minutes of blockbuster new and sing-along old songs. A high adrenaline, happy & memorable occasion.

A video from last year 2023 July when I backpack across England to see Iron Maiden 4 times, Kiss, British Lion & KK Priest first ever live show. This is from Nottingham, a short 2 minutes of ALEXANDER THE GREAT middle section - both harmonizing, Adrian 1st solo, Dave 2nd solo.

(cont.) ..and mid tempo Japanese/English lyrics. Lots of great exciting guitars and attractive instruments play. Songs that are worth the attention on repeat listenings. Their 2023 full album is EARTHLINGS (Greece No Remorse Label) and a 2017 EP called ADVENT. I recommend both.

Review Kreator 28 Jan 2024 Esplanade Annexe Singapore With about 200+ attendees in a small studio, this feels like an exclusive intimate private show with one of the best live bands around. A wonderful time indeed. Some photos and videos.

Galneryus 22 Dec 2023 Esplanade Annexe Singapore. Rare to see a Japan rock band in Singapore but Galneryus did came and a chance to be " educated and exposed " to the disciplined, well oiled 5 piece band. Brilliant songs, delivery and showmanship. Gonna check out their catalog.

30 June 2023. AO Arena. Iron Maiden was on fire. I took this photo of Adrian Smith doing his guitar solo far away from his spot for one of the new song. They are so happy and confident. I do not know if they can hear each other well but it was awesome pure 666% live performance.

British Lion (Steve Harris band) at Rebellion, Manchester UK last night 29 June 2023. A tiny club of a few hundred. To see Steve Harris in a small area is amazing As usual, Steve personally was on fire. Opening band was The Strays. (Its all In Your Mind - Iron Maiden cover song)

Anthem new album is here. A change with 100% English lyrics so I can understand it. Still Anthem after the year 2000 reunion has been magnificent with a style more Melodic Heavy Metal. My purchase comes with a bluray of Yokohama 2019 show. I wish to see Anthem play in the future.
