Happy Women in Science Day👩🔬🧫
Today we celebrate incredible women who drive scientific innovation and discovery in our lab and around the world #DiversityMatters
PS-When working with bacteria, we always look forward to coming to the lab...and finding our cultures positive 😃
What better way to celebrate this special day than by remembering this inspiring video?

We're looking for a motivated PhD student with a background in computational biology to join our team. You will be involved in exciting projects that aim to reveal the role of microbiome in human health.
What a sucessful day at the #DZL2024 annual meeting. Great discussions and plans for future collaborations. #virome #phagetherapy #lungresearch @dzlacademy – at Bad Nauheim, Germany
In our two recent papers, we demonstrate the relevance of gut phages to human health and identify their roles in conditions such as Graft-versus-host (doi.org/10.1038/s43018-023-0…), as well as non-communicable diseases like colorectal cancer (doi.org/10.1038/s41467-024-4…).

It has been 6 months since we published with @tandfonline in Gut Microbes. Our paper shows how phages interact with microbial communities and lead to colorectal cancer development. You can review the article here: tandfonline.com/10.1080/1949… #AcademicChatter #bacteriophage #cancer

We are looking for a highly motivated Ph.D. student to work on an exciting project that aims to develop targeted approaches for manipulating the human microbiome. To apply, please visit the link below: jobs.helmholtz-muenchen.de/j…
We are excited to share our recent paper published in Microbiology Spectrum. Using single-cell viral tagging, we revealed significant cell-to-cell variations in phage kinetics among highly virulent phages: journals.asm.org/doi/10.1128…
We are excited to share our recent paper published in Gut Microbes; ViroProfiler is a new pipeline for analyzing viral sequences, bringing us one step closer to standardizing viral metagenomics: tandfonline.com/doi/epdf/10.…

These past two days were unique. Thanks to @DZIF_, interdisciplinary teams aiming at making phage therapy a treatment option against untreatable bacterial infections, were brought together. Many lessons learned and a lot of work ahead #thefutureisbright #phagefriends
Tomorrow starts the first strategic @DZIF_ meeting to promote translational research in the field of bacteriophages in Germany. Many important discussions on the agenda dzif.de/system/files/documen… #phagetherapy #AntimicrobialResistance
