Sorry to be “that guy” but the real install path is: 1. Edit packages.nix in my flake with a single line that specifies the package 2. One command to rebuild and switch, you already allowed unfree because you probably have steam or something 3. Run claude

As five people have pointed out, the better way is: 1. edit /etc/nixos/configuration.nix 2. add claude-code to pkgs 3. nixos-rebuild --switch 4. get rejected because unfree, google that, add nixpkgs.config.allowUnfree = true; 5. nixos-rebuild --switch, wait 30 seconds 6. claude
