I’ve got 45 years of pay stubs showing what I’ve put in. Do you propose that I just give that money up - money without my consent with the promise that I get Medicare and Social Security – because I’ve been successful?
If you wanna talk about reform, that’s fine. I’d love to get your entire generation out from under this Ponzi scheme. But I don’t see you wanting Social Security; I just seen you not wanting me to get any.

CNN Staff Meeting: How can we compose a Tweet that is technically true but hides all the relevant information. In reality the AG determined the adults driving into the officer who were actually the target of the stop were at fault for the shooting. We should wait on the footage
Mississippi's attorney general says a Senatobia police officer was justified in the June shooting death of a 1-year-old boy while responding to a shoplifting call. The conclusion of the state's investigation follows months of mourning and calls for justice. cnn.it/4z0O5X6
Hi @AndrewSolender, when will you issue a correction on your false story about the upside-down flag “deep fake” that isn’t? axios.com/local/portland/202…

Nafisa Fai literally used AI to fix the flag and now they're calling the real one AI
The racist deepfake video of Washington County Commissioner Nafisa Fai circulating on social media is abhorrent. This is one more reason AI needs to be regulated, to prevent bad actors from causing real harm through misinformation. oregonjournalismproject.org/…
Readers added context they thought people might want to know
The original video containing the upside down flag is real, and was uploaded by Somali TV Minnesota.
The image provided by Nafisa Fai is AI.

"Tarantino, where the fuck are you? I'll do anything. Tarantino, anything you want."
"I am her manager. She will not do anything, and the feet are off the table."
"Tarantino, it's Aubrey. Guess what? I'll do anything you want."
"Babe, it's extra for the feet, honey."
"Naked in heels, Tarantino!"

Not to blackpill but I need to say something. My parents are boomer libs and I asked them if they heard about what's happening in France and they said: "Oh yeah, we heard there are big student protests over the education and class sizes."

Claims to be Republican. Votes for a Democrat solely because of marijuana.
Get out there and cancel this vote.
Done. I voted to end the maga corruption that has put the GOP in a choke hold for the last ten years. Party loyalty is a lie boomers tell you so they can continue being trash politicians that represent Trump over the will of the people.
It’s time for maga to end and be replaced by a better form of fiscal conservatism that’s actually American first.
I voted for conservative judges, Democrat reps, and libertarians. I voted for @VikkiGoodwinTX over @DanPatrick especially and @jamestalarico over @KenPaxtonTX because of the hemp issue. You chose to ban my business. I choose to vote for your opponents.
The same old same old dies today. Republicans have had control and all we’ve gotten is worse than under Biden. I’m fine with this crap.

It is a basic principle of American democracy that the government can’t selectively target individuals simply because of their political beliefs or what they say. But that’s exactly what the Trump Administration is doing to Congresswoman Ilhan Omar of Minnesota.
To understand why this is so appalling, it’s important to know the facts. Congresswoman Omar came to this country with her father when she was 12 years old. Five years later, her father became a naturalized citizen. If Ilhan had been 18 at the time, she would have had to apply for citizenship separately. But because she was 17, she became a naturalized citizen automatically.
Congresswoman Omar went on to graduate from college, work as a community organizer, become the first Somali-American legislator elected to public office in the U.S., and win a seat in Congress. There, she has been one of the Trump Administration’s fiercest critics, which has led the president to repeatedly single her out as someone who he believes does not belong in this country.
Now the Administration is actively trying to deport Congresswoman Omar, seemingly based solely on the unsubstantiated theory that she was actually 18 when her father was naturalized, and therefore is not a citizen. Federal agents have raided her home, confiscated personal records, and seized her phone — all to try and uncover a nonexistent smoking gun from 20 years ago that will somehow make their case.
Think about that. The full weight of the federal government is being brought down on a law-abiding elected official because she has dared to criticize the president. And it’s not the first time this has happened. Under President Trump, the Justice Department has repeatedly gone after those he considers his political enemies — from the Attorney General of New York, to the former head of the FBI, to members of the Federal Reserve.
In those cases, the prosecutions either stalled or were dismissed for having no basis in law, and the same is likely to happen in this case. But not before Congresswoman Omar’s life has been turned upside down, her legal bills have piled up, and she’s been forced to spend time fighting unsubstantiated charges instead of serving the people of Minnesota.
The fact that any president, or any administration, is willing to engage in such transparent efforts to intimidate someone should outrage all Americans, regardless of how they feel about Congresswoman Omar’s political views. Because if this becomes the new normal, there’s no reason to believe it will stop with her — or that future presidents, in either party, won’t do the same.

American-made products are not impossible. Stories about iPhones costing $37,000 or laptops costing $100,000 are psy-ops, sometimes pushed by foreign adversaries but more commonly by American corporations that want anything but an upset to the status quo.
Palmer Luckey says companies are exaggerating the cost of American manufacturing to justify staying in China: “They don’t want to admit that it is a choice.” 🇺🇸🇨🇳
“I don’t have a lot of sympathy for people who pretend that manufacturing in the U.S. is this impossible, order-of-magnitude problem. A lot of it is very self-serving.
They want to justify why they’re in China. They want to justify why it’s OK for them to stay in China. They know that when sanctions hit as a result of a potential Taiwan conflict, they want to say, ‘Nobody could’ve predicted this, and I had no choice anyway.’
They don’t want to admit that it is a choice.
If Chinese subsidized steel is a third of the price of American unsubsidized steel, a tariff isn’t going to work. But if the price difference really is 30%, then a tariff could bring the American steel industry back.
It’s critically important to get this question right, and there aren’t enough people talking about it.”
