Going to SC24 in a couple of months. Checked out the agenda and a little bit surprised that none of the tutorials or workshops in the first day have a cloud focus. Some k8s, one on procurement which will give a nod to cloud, but that's about it. Weird.

If you are already familiar with SLURM (or other traditional scheduler) then AWS PCS will likely be a better fit. If your application has existing requirements on SLURM then it's a no-brainer. (3/4)

That's not to say you can't run the same workload in either service. Much like deciding on which programming language to use, this choice is more dependent on your existing skills and existing application requirements rather than the service features themselves. (4/4)

Matt was instrumental in the development, design, and release of this service. Huge accomplishment!

Improvements include: * Uses a Fargate profile for running cluster wide services instead of managed node group of EC2 instance * Leveraging EKS managed add-ons for logging * Updated exercises. * Adding the gang-schedule exercise to run Dask across a set of EC2 instances
