it would be really helpful if high school taught rhetoric and logic for communications and debates. having to stop someone straw-manning me, explain what a straw man is, and then trying to re-engage on the merits of a point is a truly sisyphean struggle

anytime someone says progressives just want free shit ask them about the f-35. a plane that sucks that nobody wanted that’s gonna cost close to 2 trillion at the end of it. if we spent that much on 100% subsidized housing it would build more than 10 million single family homes.
even if all we did was scrap the program and redirect the 700 billion left of the projected 1.1 trillion over the next 52 (2070 is projected f-35 end date) to HUD that’s 25% more helping those who need it most. all the while raising the floor of american quality of life.
