Let that sink in: the ruling party and the police are rattled because people want to peacefully stand with the tiranga. The national flag. Think about how far we’ve fallen.

“Not seen anything like this”
Not a single bullet fired on protesters and 22 muslims were shot dead in just UP for protesting against CAA.
“I have never seen anything like this in our country. The right to protest is virtually non-existent. Tanashahi has crossed all limits,” says advocate Nanita Sharma, who has practised in the Supreme Court and High Court for 38 years.
Speaking outside the Supreme Court ahead of a lawyers’ march to Jantar Mantar, Sharma and her partner lawyer Vivek Sharma condemned the police crackdown and urged authorities to listen to young protesters instead of beating and detaining them.
Sharma was later dragged away and detained by Delhi Police along with other protesting lawyers.
Fida Fatima, Akhtarista Ansari and Nada Saeeda report from Delhi.

i need my international oomfs to spread awareness about the protests happening in india rn because the indian media is refusing to cover it properly. india is under an undeclared emergency. students and activists are being brutally beaten up and arrested without proper reasons‼️
