Note for young designers. For every piece of advice you're given, someone will tell you the opposite. For every Spiekermann, there's an Anderson. For every Carson, there's a Fawcett-Tang. The best thing you can do, is be honest to yourself and do the type of work you want to do.

Good thread if game studios are looking for evidence in copyright lawsuits
Sora 2 is great, but can it play Doom? Well yes, apparently it can. Here's a 🧵with 10 games generated by @openAI's Sora 2. Drop your suggestions for games to try and I'll reply back with a video.

Just under a week until Open Studios. I don't have anything new to show but you might find some of the other artists interesting.

When you're prepared to spend £100 on a hoodie but the brand won't sell it to you unless you're a 'member'. Thanks @rapha for saving me money.

It's not every day you find ants living in your nectarine. Thanks @Tesco

I might have just discovered the only thing ever printed with Hexachrome. 🤣

“Masking is exhausting because it's not just hiding who you are. It's actively performing who you're not. Every gesture calculated. Every word measured. Every reaction monitored. No wonder we collapse when we get home.” ↓ Source: is.gd/uaNSa6

Senators Hawley & Blumenthal are introducing a bill that would definitively make it illegal to train AI on copyrighted works without permission. As a judge recently said, it is likely already illegal in many cases, and unlikely to qualify as ‘fair use’. But this would put an end to the debate. “It's time for Congress to give the American worker their day in court to protect their personal data and creative works.” axios.com/pro/tech-policy/20…

Cautiously optimistic but keeping my expectations low.
Welcome to the Chatsubo, cowboy. #Neuromancer is in production.

Euan Uglow was as radical and experimental as any celebrated British post-war artist. The ideas he pursued had nothing to do with setting a narrative or painting a photographic likeness, but creating a structured painting: 'full of controlled potent emotion.'

My mental health is the best it’s ever been but I’m miserable and have lost all my confidence in my abilities. Weird times. 😕

If someone’s work is making you spiral, unfollow. Inspiration shouldn’t feel like self-harm. 👀

Can anyone recommend a decent, reliable external SSD for use with a Mac Studio? Needs to be 4TB. I've just bought two @CrucialMemory X9 Pros and I've had all sorts of problems right from the start. Searching the web, it looks like a lot of people have.

Does anyone use SuperDuper! for back ups on Apple Silicon? I've just started using it again and when I run a back up it deletes the APFS volume from my back up drive and the back up fails. Has anyone else had the same problem and if so did you find a solution?

You gotta challenge AI with the imPErfection of human signature and not GAF. My ART whether music or art has SCARS and i don’t cover it with plastic surgery to beg fandom. It is what it is. And will be .That’s what a artist IS
