BITS PILANI, HYDERABAD: COMMUNITY DOGS REMOVED FOR NO REASON.
Students allege that 10–15 innocent campus dogs were captured and taken to a GHMC/ABC shelter in September.
Despite appeals for their return, reports suggest the dogs may not be brought back.
Where are these dogs? Why are they being denied their return?

The draft rules enabling animal experimentation in India must be withdrawn now!
The new draft Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (Control and Supervision of Experiment, Breeding and Trading of Laboratory Animals) Rules, 2026 – issued by the Committee for Control and Supervision of Experiments on Animals (CCSEA) proposes replacing the existing frameworks and these changes seek to simplify approvals for research institutions, universities and pharmaceutical and biomedical industries enabling animal research - this is a step in the wrong direction, India must move forwards and end animal testing, these draft rules are about to make it easier for millions of animals to suffer for a science that does not work.
