How to spot bundled rug launches on @ponsdotfamily in 2 minutes
Most launches on Pons look clean. Fair price, no obvious snipers, nothing that suspicious. Then the team dumps and everyone wonders how the supply was already sitting in a few wallets to rug.
The trick is that most launch tools use the same function, and it leaves a trace you can check yourself.
Step 1: Find the launch transaction
Open the 'launch and buy' tx. Here is an example:
robin.etherscan.io/tx/0x517e…
Step 2: Decode the input data
Go to "More details" and click "Decode Input Data".
Step 3: Look for snipeTaxExemptions
This is the parameter that makes it possible.
Pons v2 introduced a 3 second, 100% tax to stop snipers. It works, unless the dev uses this function to exempt selected wallets from the tax. Those wallets can buy in the first seconds with no tax while everyone else gets taxed.
Step 4: Read the wallets
Once decoded, you can see the full list of addresses in this parameter. These are the wallets the dev sniped the supply with.
Now you know who is holding, how many wallets are tied to the launch, then they redistribute it among more wallets.
How to use this
Before you ape into anything on Pons, check the launch tx. If the exemption list is long, or those wallets hold a big share of supply, you are probably the exit liquidity.
It takes two minutes, and it will save you more money than any signal group ever will.
This is not a bluepill against every type of launch, but the more you know, the better :)
Let's make this game much more sophisticated for the teams
Build.
ribbita-by-virtuals:native community NFT collection GRIBBITS is sitting at a 930 ETH floor, a lit bit over $2M
the collection for a token with a $250M CMC
the collection of token which is connected to @RibbitCapital and NODE - guys owning the IP rights to CryptoPunks
the most devoted, most principled holders out there
two freaking million
the market is obviously wrong
Sat with the SEC doc and realized I had ribbita-by-virtuals:native slightly wrong.
Fair launch + no public promises = no investment contract.
No contract = no safe harbor, no SEC forms, no restriction phase.
The rule isn’t “don’t build.” Build all you want in stealth. The issue is whether you create an investment contract in the first place - explicit promises, fundraising, profit expectation tied to managerial efforts.
Stay quiet helps. But substance matters too.
When the network or app or something is actually live, functional, and without a central party, the token can move from meme to commodity on its own.
No safe harbor needed.
That’s the cleaner Path 2. Puzzle finally clicks.
ribbita-by-virtuals:native
one year in review @ribbita2012
For those who've been watching, and those still deciding whether to look closer
One critical detail: SEC requires no central party for Digital Commodity status. That's why @RibbitCapital thesis revolves around the AAC - Autonomous Agentic Company, so that Ribbit Capital itself stops being the central party. And the fair launch of ribbita-by-virtuals:native with no ICO, no investor allocations, no promises, no tokenomics is the only way to satisfy that requirement from the very first block.

I've seen how the guys from Ribbit Hole made a hoodie concept, but from what I saw, they don't even come close to understanding how a real @ribbita2012 hoodie should look. So here is a concept.
