The last week has been beautiful sometimes you have to step back from the momentum and ask yourself if you’re truly scaling or just getting bigger we’ve been growing fast (400 signups daily kind of fast, still with zero paid marketing so far)… but I realised we hadn’t scaled the foundations to match People first, people most especially… then systems, undocumented processes that had become bottlenecks in hiring, unit economics, security(daily hack attempts, but we tighttt), cloud infra (after burning so much money, you’d realize leaving it to auto-scaling wouldn’t save you lol), all needed a rethink I’ve finally understood that Growth is getting bigger, Scaling is becoming capable of handling bigger It’s uncomfortable to pause when things are moving tbh.. but building a company is as much about knowing what to fix as it is about knowing what to build next I’ve also met some really cool founders and operators and had conversations with almost everyone I’ve looked up to in the tech ecosystem. Grateful for the access and the clarity that csme from it all We have a much clearer picture of what needs to happen next Hold your seatsss, we are going to be all over your timeline 🙂‍↔️

🤣🤣 fifth time I’m seeing this when the conversations started, even I told her not to think twice about it! That funding is going to unlock so much for builders, people are beginning to see what’s possible so no, there was no dog eat dog situation or sidelining… Shalom and I spoke about it well beforehand and we couldn’t have been more excited to have powered Lagos Life to where it got and honestly this is still one of the biggest wins for Bachs… The publicity, the growth and most importantly, the validation that what we set out to build is real we’re here to help builders win, seeing Lagoslife succeed at this scale is a huge win for us too!

I’m not sure we fully understand how significant this is $500k raised in less than a week of launch, 4m+ users, $170+ rev…. It’s absolutely insane I’ve always believed that with the tech available today, profound products would emerge from Africa…the talent was never the problem, the minds, creativity, technical skills were always here what held many people back was the cost of getting started…. Time was the most expensive thing, then you needed a team, some funds just to get a product to market AI has changed that narrative… the cost of building and launching products is falling and more people can now turn ideas into reality without needing the resources that used to be ablocker Lagoslife is a glimpse of what’s possible and I know so much more will come out of Africa.
