While Trump brings Russian diesel into the US, a tanker carrying 750,000 barrels of oil has struck a sea mine in the Strait of Hormuz. As a reminder: according to Trump, oil prices are determined by Ukrainian attacks on Russian refineries, while the situation in Hormuz supposedly plays no role—but as always, that too is a lie from Trump.

In the 1990s I worked with Ken Alibek, the former No. 2 in the Soviet biological weapons program, after he defected to the US. He claimed that they had engineered a strain of plague that was antibiotic-resistant & that they had worked on plague chimeras (fusing 2 or more pathogens). He specifically called out Irkutsk for being involved in the BW program. This outbreak is deeply worrisome. This may not be just “the plague.” It may be far worse.

Harsh words from an ally (of Israel). Bibi has destroyed Israel’s reputation globally in stunning fashion. A change of govt certainly is in order.
Jordan’s King Abdullah II speaking at the UN General Assembly: "No one in this Assembly should assume its (Israel) ambitions stop at Palestine. This Israeli government's expansionist appetite is now a regional threat. And today, Syria is the warning the international community is choosing not to see. Repeated incursions, creeping territorial expansion, new facts imposed on the ground, including around vital water resources. Step by calculated step, Israel is testing how far it can go. And every time the international community looks away, Israel learns that it can go even further, across borderlines and legal limits."

Call me crazy, but it seems a little excessive for tax payers to cover the cost for tRump to fly 24 vehicles,19 motorcycles, and 1 Natalie Harp to Ireland for a 48 hour visit so he can attend a golf tournament while voters are unable to afford health-care, food, gas, utilities, or rent.

I was given my name by the Iroquois Nation many hundreds of years ago. By 1660 my name was printed on maps by the Europeans as they accepted the Native name which means Beautiful waters. In 1867 the Canadian government decided to use my name for their providence.

Lying to the American people. @Linda_McMahon should be ashamed of these lies. She should be equally embarrassed by her use of the tired overused verbiage “Trump doing…like never seen before.”
Linda McMahon: "After the Biden administration allowed schools to secretly transition students without parents' knowledge, President Trump is defending parental rights like never before"

So cool that @united is sharing Andrew’s work @AJamesMcCarthy
This pic is UNREAL... except it's absolutely real. Astrophotographer @AJamesMcCarthy took 1.7 million photos of the sun over six days to capture this shot of UA 2460 flying from IAH to LAX, a photo he calls one of the luckiest of his career. Lucky for us, we get to share it with you on National Aviation Day! #NationalAviationDay #Photography #AvGeek #AstroPhotography #UnitedAirlines

This is crazy!
So much hail fell that a snow plow was brought out to clear the roads in Englewood, Colorado, after a severe storm left mounds of hail piled up.

Does nobody check this shit?
The State Department said it takes "full responsibility" for "hastily" altering and then presenting a map of Africa at a global AIDS conference that mislabeled every single country it highlighted. An analysis by Reuters found a watermark in the map image that suggests it was made with OpenAI.

How cool is this!
Here’s a cool anniversary. 61 years ago today, Lyndon Johnson flew to Independence, Missouri, to sign Medicare and Medicaid into law. He could have done it at the White House. Instead, he did it next to Harry Truman. Truman had been fighting for national health insurance since 1945. Then LBJ handed him his Medicare card No. 1. At the time, roughly half of Americans over 65 had no health insurance. Whatever you think about how health care should work today, it’s hard to overstate what changed that day. Medicare helped insure some of the most vulnerable people in our country. Millions of older Americans who had struggled to find coverage suddenly had somewhere to turn. And the man who had been fighting for it for 20 years got the very first card. That feels like a pretty cool piece of American history.
