“What About Us” by Brandy has one of the craziest instrumentals ever heard on an R&B track, Darkchild was insane for this.
what’s that song where the instrumental is just ridiculous

Since everyone is talking about Bad Bunny’s representation of Puerto Rico at the Super Bowl, let’s not forget the original Puerto Rico Hip Hop anthem by Frankie Cutlass from 1994, later used by Jennifer Lopez for her Super Bowl entrance. Here’s the story of that song:

Ich bin Clipse Fan seit Got Caught Dealin & The Funeral (1998/99).

Maseo of @WeAreDeLaSoul: »I realized the golden era will be the era of hip hop kids mature into, ’cause it’s more thought-provoking.« Revisited this interview I did with Maseo in 2012 and his words perfectly capture what’s happening in hip hop today. #delasoul #cabininthesky

Boehmii & Doechii?

DJ Ron retweeted
"One DM changed everything. I almost ignored it because I thought it was a scam." Ian James was just another producer uploading beats to YouTube—until Doechii stumbled upon one and turned it into “Denial Is a River.” I spoke with @IanJamesBeats about his wild journey 🧵
