And you showed so eloquently why we need to tackle climate justice and health equity together.
Professor @MichaelMarmot ‘s work on health inequalities was a big part of what inspired me to go to medical school, so it was an honour to be a keynote speaker and deliver a Q&A beside him today!
Gutted that I didn’t manage to get to this session, it looked fantastic. Look forward to catching up and hearing how it went #ScotPH24

MUP consultation closes on Wednesday, I would encourage colleagues across Scotland to respond. The recent PHS review shows that this policy is really impacting on health outcomes and reducing inequalities @fphscot
We are seeking views on proposals to continue Minimum Unit Pricing and to increase the Minimum Unit Price to 65 pence per unit.
Recent research estimates that the policy has saved hundreds of lives and likely reduced hospital admissions.

We have an alcohol public heath emergency in Scotland due to the effects of the pandemic on drinking patterns. We need minimum pricing more than ever because #MUPsaveslives But we urgently need the price to be increased to at least 65p per unit to take account of inflation.
MUP has:
✅ Saved lives
✅ Averted hospital admissions
✅ Decreased how much we drink
You can ensure its positive effects continue ✊ #MUPSavesLives
Retweet to show your support for this life-saving policy!
