This week I had a student who is a 79 year old Vietnam veteran.
He is in a wheelchair.
He has a Purple Heart.
Was an MP.
He has been awarded the bronze star.
He has metals for rifle and pistol marksmanship.
Because of Colorado law, in order for him to have a concealed handgun permit he has to attend an 8 hour class, pass a written exam and then pass a 50 round live fire qualification.
Neither of my classrooms are ADA compliant, so I gave him the class in the comfort of his home. It was the LEAST I could do for this hero.
I was surrounded by all his metals, accomplishments in his military service, and honored to help such a noble man.
At the same time, I was absolutely disgusted at the fact this war hero who has been through HELL and sacrificed his body and mental health, watched his brothers in arms die horrific deaths for our country, prove to me and the state that he is competent enough to carry a firearm to defend himself in Colorado.
There is no provision in these unconstitutional laws that gives exemptions to disabled veterans.
We owe this man and plenty like him the dignity and reverence to ensure that they are afforded ALL the freedoms guaranteed by the constitution- the freedoms he and so many have bled for.
I’m ashamed that I had to ask this war hero to suffer through a class, a test and a live fire qualification when he has METALS FOR PISTOL AND RIFLE ON THE WALL FROM
OUR ARMED SERVICES.
Everyone who has had a hand in these atrocities should be held accountable and charged with crimes for violating our American Constitution and 2nd Amendment.
Vietnam was horrific.
How dare we treat our veterans like they are some 2nd class citizens and our 2A liberties like privileges.
His service to our country should be more than enough for him to carry a firearm.
We must change this.

What destroys this narrative is the fact that his entire online presence and background was wiped, his room was wiped clean, and allegedly meet an FBI or law enforcement agent at a gun range.
To add even more, there is no way this kid would have been able to get into the Butler event with a weapon, act as suspicious as he did the entire time, get in position on the roof with a weapon, and be allowed to take multiple shots unless he was allowed to do so.
This was an inside job, set up by compromised officials in our own government and in other high places, including in our own FBI and Secret Service.

Carnegie Mellon is paying the price for a 2021 hire made amid the moral panic that followed George Floyd. The professor’s thin research record, narrow intellectual range, and political activism should have prompted serious scrutiny. In a freer intellectual climate, hiring committees might have said plainly that no appointment was warranted, let alone a tenure-track appointment involving decades of commitment by a distinguished university.
But professors who crossed DEI boundaries could pay a steep professional price: stalled promotion, difficulty publishing, ostracism, reputational destruction, and countless hours spent defending their motives rather than doing scholarship. That is how intellectual conformity takes hold—not necessarily through formal censorship (though there was plenty of that), but through the credible threat of professional punishment.
So the question for CMU is not simply what to do about one professor. It's whether the university has dismantled the machinery that makes honest judgment so difficult in the first place.

I stopped posting about politics back on February 19th, when things just stopped making sense to me.
Canceled Fox News because every day the story was NANCY GUTHRIE MISSING.
Stopped watching political pundits on YouTube because I couldn't believe anything anymore.
Pam Bondi didn’t arrest any of the Democrats they told us were criminals from 2020 - 2024.
Bondi got replaced by Todd Blanche - still no Democrat indictments or arrests.
Patel became head of the FBI - still didn’t arrest any Democrats.
They told us Biden ran the country on an Autopen - nothing happened.
They promised the Epstein List - nothing happened to anybody who was on it.
At some point I realized I was spending my time watching people on television tell me what was ABOUT TO HAPPEN...
...and then watching NOTHING HAPPEN.
So I dropped out.
Not because I stopped caring about America.
Because I started caring about my OWN SANITY.
And I honestly DON’T REGRET IT.

WTC Building 7 - a 47-story building that was not struck by any aircraft - collapsed at 5:20 PM on September 11, 2001.
The building fell at free-fall acceleration for approximately 2.25 seconds - a fact that NIST (the National Institute of Standards and Technology) initially denied, then was forced to acknowledge after independent analysis proved it.
Free-fall means the building offered zero structural resistance during its collapse - physically impossible in a gravity-driven collapse unless the supporting structure was simultaneously removed.
NIST's final report attributed the collapse to 'office fires' - the first time in history that fire alone was claimed to have caused the total collapse of a steel-framed high-rise building.
No steel-framed building has collapsed due to fire before or since September 11, 2001.
The BBC reported Building 7's collapse approximately 20 minutes before it actually fell - with the building still standing visibly behind the reporter.
Building 7 housed: the SEC (investigating Wall Street fraud), the IRS, the Secret Service, the CIA's New York station, and the Office of Emergency Management - Rudy Giuliani's fortified command center.
Thousands of SEC case files - including investigations into Enron and WorldCom - were destroyed in the collapse.
A building full of active federal investigations collapsed into its own footprint at free-fall speed from office fires. And nobody asked why.

Senate Republicans @senategop ran endless Pro Forma sessions to block their own Republican President from getting any recess appointments.
Senate Republicans failed to pass the SAVE America Act, even though they had a 53-47 majority. Even more ridiculous - they arrogantly refused to listen to their own constituents, who have been demanding it non-stop for 18 months.
Many/most of us will vote for you in November only because the Dems are even worse.
But be assured - we will be coming for you with excellent PATRIOT Primary challengers in 2028!!
Senate Republicans stood up for taxpayers and saved $187 billion through SNAP reforms.
We cut rampant waste, fraud, and abuse.
