🗣Souness: "Its cruel on #ManCity. This is because of FFP, set up by the big clubs to protect big clubs. They've said, 'We are the big guys, we generate the most, let's set up a rule that prevents City buying the best players and we're not the big boys anymore.' Its jealousy" 👏

If u don't respect this level of being cunts then footy isn't the sport for u I'm afraid
“Premier League Execs” 🤥🤥🤥
Let me guess @MiguelDelaney a few Liverpool Utd and Arsenal suits got together after we slapped you all over Anfield and said “reckon we can bully the other 16 clubs into voting this lot out”
we’re coming for your dodgy rules you rat 🐀
Yesterday so galled Premier League execs that more than a few were discussing whether City should be immediately suspended, due to the effect
That would require a highly unlikely vote, but it is also a sanction available to the Independent Commission

This. I’ll never forget the sound of these two dopes fighting the tears as Cherki popped in number 3 😂
They both sounded like they were off to share a bottle of bleach after the game. Just beautiful 💉

The best take on FFP that I’ve heard for some time.
Ironically, from a Liverpool account too. 🤷♂️
I think the level of hysteria around the Man City case is becoming very weird.
People genuinely acting like the Club has to be destroyed and sent to the shadow realm have lost the plot in my opinion.
They weren’t found guilty of match fixing. They weren’t paying refs. This isn’t comparable to the Serie A scandal or Lance Armstrong.
They saw an anti-competitive and unjust rule which only allowed the same 4 teams to dominate the League and said “no, we don’t want to wait decades to slowly build up revenues and have to sell our best players every time they do well to stop us from succeeding. We have the money, we’re not going to be irresponsible with Man City’s finances, we want to invest and compete now”.
Again, the idea that every team other than 3/4 in the League has to go on a constant merry-go-round of “hey that player for you guys is really good, we’re going to just take him because you can’t invest any more of your own money and he would be wasted at a middling team like you” is wrong. It doesn’t help football in this country and the rules should change to allow these clubs to be bought by owners with even deeper pockets who can give those clubs and even higher chance of sustained success.

Nothing lives deeper in my heart than this. I've witnessed every high and every heartbreak. I've felt every tear and every triumph. I love Manchester City Football Club with every fibre of my being. CTID. 🩵

Lots of gloating about City on here, but it shows the financial rules are basically designed to keep ambitious wannabes, as City were before 2012, in their box, so the old-money clubs can carry in regardless. This is proved by the current plights of Villa and Newcastle
