i'd like to remind declarative_ readers that when i argue leftist points with insane emotional investment, i'm not at risk of economic hardship myself and am really just doing it out of love for the game (some might say "conviction")
> haha, i will simply order medicine on amazon so i won't have to visit a small business at daytime
> amazon is not a licensed pharmacy, we don't do that in germany
> third party seller doesn't propagate the "leave at the door" request
> have to visit a small business at daytime
god i need this!! this would be such a good idea. "who wants to have an app that charges your credit card for laundry" that would be ME

yeah laundry is a fair point. common laundry would probably suck even harder if you had to share it with random people. ultimately though there would probably be fixes to this if you let tech run wild (lockable public washers, you pay extra per minute you keep it after)

can we have less of those 4chan caricatures? I think they're really ugly and it hurts your soul to post things this ugly
the concept of a saudi guy defending the execution of a married couple for holding hands inside a mosque with the words "bffr yall" and a skull emoji
brianna wu needs to be 10 % more normal about nonpassing trans women and nonbinary people but y'all need to be 90 % more normal about brianna wu
if i had a dollar for every "inherited a large sum of money but was raised frugal" student i know i would have 3 dollars which is a drop in the bucket compared to the sums we're talking about
why do we even have competition on cellphone networks? it's probably too late and i can't complain in general but 5g coverage seems like it should be a public good
yeah bro you aren't supposed to eat shrimp you have to really think about how it's not okay to farm sea animals without fins or scales...
i don't really buy the general self replication claim from anthropic. their blog post shows that
- humans can install and run some distributed inference setup (slowly!!) on a bunch of embedded android boxes
- big oss llms can set up inference for small ones on normal machines
