Before you blame the algorithm, check these 4 things first: 1. Strategy Decide exactly what your channel should be known for. Your videos should repeatedly serve the same type of viewer around the same core problem. That gives YouTube clearer audience signals and gives viewers a reason to watch more than one video. 2. Packaging Your title and thumbnail decide whether the video gets a chance. The job of packaging is to make three things obvious: → What the video is about → Why it matters → Why someone should click now A strong video with weak packaging usually stays invisible. 3. Production Production should make your expertise easier to consume. Prioritize: → Clear audio → Tight pacing → Real examples → Useful screen shares → Visuals that clarify what you’re saying The goal is comprehension and retention 4. Distribution Once the first 3 are solid, focus on publishing consistently. For most B2B channels, one strong long-form video per week is a good baseline. Consistency gives YouTube more data, gives you more chances to find winning topics, and builds a library prospects can discover over time.

L take. if you see demand outweighing the supply, you should absolutely double down. it doesn’t matter who made a video about it previously. media markets are much much bigger than 3-5 videos/channels you see at the top of the search results. almost all of these videos are 1 of 10s in their respective rankings do not leave views on the table. if you don’t make that video, others definitely will
if you cant make the video better than the outlier, dont make it your own results, a fresher take, a sharper angle, something only you can say otherwise your'e just the guy who made a worse version of a video ppl already watched

8 years ago this confused, lost, uncertain, and broke 20 something made a decision… a decision to own a business someday. that day has come in 2023. i was laid off and heartbroken, decided to give myself a shot at this online business thing on christmas 2022. (when i was writing on my notebook as my new year resolution) if i could sign 3 freelancing clients by march, i would continue to pursue it. if i couldn’t, i was gonna apply to video editor jobs. january: crickets february: 1 client march: 3rd client signed (still working together to this date) my daily routine: - 4 hours of practice - 1 hour of outreach - 1 hour of content - the rest of my time would go to client deliverables (which is editing videos until i lose my mind) months later i hit $10k/m 1 year later i hit $20k/m 1 year later i hit $50k/m and the revenue passed a certain point where i no longer share online because i feel so insecure because the people around me are making so much more and seeing so much success that makes me feel so small… anyway… i saw this photo of me while scrolling through my photos app, i paused my tv show that was running in the background, stopped and thought about it for a second. that version of me would be so proud to have created a business this size. so a word from your future self: “it all worked out, i’m glad you didn’t give up on yourself.” if you are on the come up and seeing this, i am rooting for you. i am proof that you can achieve what you put your mind to. do not get confused by the hard season of life you are going through. keep learning, keep building, keep making connections, keep sharing your work. i promise you it will work out

Thrilled to announce we’ve partnered with @meta to bring an unprecedented new performance unlock for brands. Here’s how the Catalog Accelerator works… Meta will help cover the cost of Marpipe Enterprise for new brands. We help you make the most of it, by enabling every popular feature thats proven to increase DPA performance. Meta is doing this because it’s never been more clear that an enriched product catalog (with good creative, SKU-level video, and clean data hygiene) enables brands to deploy substantially more ad spend profitably. Paid social is changing extremely fast - for many major brands, their product catalog is now the primary growth asset. This would be unthinkable just 5 years ago. Marpipe is the industry’s ‘Easy Button’ for catalog enrichment - within days, any brand can be live with better catalog creative and clean product data optimized for performance and reach. We launched a subsidy partnership with Meta back in July, but it only lasted for 30 days. It was such a hit that we’ve extended it through to the end of October. Spots are limited, first come first serve! Apply in the link below.

YouTube just announced some of its biggest Studio updates in years. There’s quite a few things coming but these 3 are the most important ones (in my opinion): 1. YouTube’s AI will generate thumbnails for you (supposedly in your style) I do not think this will be a productive update as intended, as YouTube has taken a stance against AI slop this year. Now they have launched their own :) Meta launched their own version of this with their Advantage+ update. No marketer likes using them, as they just look like slop. This will also kill 3rd party AI-gen thumbnail products, it was just a matter of time. Nonetheless we’ll be trying and using it to our advantage. 2. You’ll be able to A/B test videos Ok I think this is the most important update I am paying attention to. I am no stranger to testing hooks since I have an advertising background. Now even long form video creation became a data-led process instead of a creative-led process. I won’t be surprised if Hollywood and streaming services start adopting this approach where they test different openings or even bodies in movies / series… One thing I'm not sure about is how drastically a video needs to be different from the others. Is there a limit of let’s say, “only 3 minutes” or “10% of the video” can be different? or will you be able to upload entirely different videos for the sake of “testing”. I’m curious how they roll this update and what the effects are going to be. It’ll give us more room to play with our scripting and pre production planning moving forward. 3. Conversational AI editing partner in Shorts I’m not so sure about this update nor do I fully understand what “conversational AI” means. I’m pretty sure they are referring to an AI editing agent built into the YouTube studio. We’re going into an Agentic Internet Era, this update didn’t surprise. It may save time for basic videos that don’t need complex editing. Not everything is available to public yet, as these features are rolling out at different times. I’m excited about some of the updates, and curious about others. Will test them out and report back :)
