At it's base, the RWNJs who dominate the conservative cause in Cda today have a cold cruel and small view of govt that would hack away the social safety net and services that Cds demand and dismantle sovereign institutions like the CBC. #cdnpoli

I restrict comments to followers because the right wing trolls and bots on here try to derail threads with personal insults and disinfo. But mostly, it’s because I don’t value their opinions. I know it sounds harsh, but I have no time or appetite for untruths and abuse. Oh well.

Some of Poilievre’s maple-MAGA supporters here in Canada would do well to listen to this, and allow themselves to be educated. 😌

I understand not liking the Canadian system, or not wanting a Canadian-type system in the States. That's understandable.
That's not what he said.
He is talking about dismantling something in a country over which he is not the President and will never be the President.
He's talking about what we should be allowing Canada - a country, not a state, not a territory, not anything the United States holds any control over - to have.
He's speaking as if he has any say over Canada, or even knows what the hell is he talking about. In doing so, he is systematically eroding a generations-long close alliance.
Leave Canada alone. Let them be our sovereign neighbor. Build a trade agreement with them.
Stop the trolling. It's not helping anyone.

Delighted to meet up with my friend Counsellor @BradMBradford who represented us the Beaches-E York when we lived in @Toronto
A family person who is cares deeply for his community. I view him as a strong public servant, informed, approachable, proactive & effective. A fmr city planner who has campaigned on addressing the big issues of crime, congestion and cost. He is a man with a plan & get it done type of guy, a consensus builder, ethical & hardworking. He knows the city can & should be so much better. IMHO he will be an outstanding Mayor.
