back in 2025, i had the idea of creating widgets for instagram. now, i’ve turned that concept into an actual app using @claudeai and my @figma skills. just fixing a few bugs before making it live for you guys 👀

happy 22!!! 🫶🏻 sometimes i think about how different my life could’ve been if a few things had gone differently. i moved from kerala to ahmedabad thinking i’d become a fashion designer. had no clue what i was doing, no one to guide me, just figuring things out as i went. then i met @thatwrapperguy in college. he saw something in me that i hadn’t seen myself and suggested i switch to communication design. i trusted him, took the biggest turn in my life, and somehow found my way. the last few years weren’t all great. lots of confusion, wrong turns, trying everything from filmmaking, video editing, 3D, graphic design, UI/UX to animation, losing people, starting over. but some people came into my life at exactly the right time, and i’m grateful for that. now, 2 years into motion design, building @btrxinfinity with vraj, i still have a long way to go. but looking back at the kid who was editing videos on a phone during lockdown, i think she’d be pretty happy to see where we are. 22 today. still figuring life out, still dreaming bigger. just a little more sure of myself this time. there’s so much more i want to do. we’re only getting started.

If AI makes great execution accessible to everyone, what actually sets designers apart? Been thinking about this lately. Wrote some thoughts down. Lmk what you think.
If AI makes high-quality execution accessible to almost everyone, what becomes the real competitive advantage for designers? Been thinking about this. Wrote it down. Lmk what you think.

Applied for #Config India 2026. Didn’t make the in-person list this time. Still really excited to see what Figma is doing around motion and design. Would’ve loved to experience it in Bangalore. Love you, @figma 🫶🏻 See you around👀

There are two kinds of people using AI right now. Those using it to build tools, expand their skills, push ideas further and create things that weren’t possible before. And those using it to copy what already exists, recreate someone else’s hard work, then proudly declare “you’re out of a job.” Be the first kind. Or don’t bother. Its literally a definition of a waste of time!

Replying to @motionsbyx3d
I think AI recreating a piece is one thing, but the way some people present it and what it supposedly means for designers is where I don’t really agree. There’s so much that goes into actually coming up with an idea, developing a visual language, making creative decisions and knowing why something should move the way it does. A tool can recreate the output, but that doesn’t mean it understands the thinking behind it. AI is definitely going to change the way we work, but I don’t think creativity suddenly becomes irrelevant because a tool can replicate the result.

Designers and Tech guys as well Just because an AI tool can copy an originally crafted motion design piece doesn’t mean designers are done. You have no idea about the process of creativity and how it works when crafting something original. Yeah if you wanna just copy good videos then go ahead but then you’d be generating nothing but AI slop. It’s sad to even see people just stupidly comparing a tool to a human’s capability of brainstorming and generating new ideas. A lot of brains missing in the chat.
