I am heart broken to learn Ruth Falcon has passed away so suddenly. She was my teacher and mentor for almost twenty years. I loved and respected her so very much. Rest well, dear Ruth! Teaches those angels how to sing a Straussian line!

1/2: I was extremely upset to hear about the death of the beloved soprano Mirella Freni. I would like to extend my condolences to her family, and to all the people who mourn the loss of one of opera’s truly great figures.
