I have been trying to reach out to @wholetruthfood regarding the status of an order, have tried multiple channels and no response so far. Very disappointing experience and would likely switch to other brands in the future.

From a stability perspective, I really like my ErgoYou standing desk. Their after sales service is meh but the build quality is solid.

Smol numbers but I learnt a lot during the process. If you have any thoughts or questions, please feel free to ask and I'd be happy to answer. :)

A lot of products scrape PH to list your product on their site, this led to additional back links to my site which has helped with indexing and page ranking for a fresh domain like mine.

5. Product Hunt helps - I thought a product like mine wouldn't be that great on PH but it gets a lot of different types of users and somehow mine got decent traction there, it was th #8 product of the day 2 weeks ago when I launched.

Very small numbers but I had a reel get 50k views which helped drive more traffic so spending more time there now. Reels work for this, something completely different might work for your idea, experiment, then iterate.

4. Double down on what drives the traffic - Sounds obvious but took me a while to realise that sharing on X and Reddit were not helping much and I was spending a lot of time there, whereas Instagram was consistently getting me traffic, so I started creating more reels there.

So I built some social mechanics, like a Wordle like sharing board, async challenges against friends, streaks, leaderboards etc. The Wordle sharing was the biggest lever IMO, people started sharing their scores and that led to more people trying it out.

3. Getting the initial users is hard, network effects help - I realised a lot of people played the daily challenge when they landed on it (>45% completion rate as well) but they didn't come back the next day. If you build it, they’d come once I guess.

Most products these days have a free tier which can serve you very well to validate your idea and get the initial users, post which you can decide whether to invest further in it or not. Gust being, don’t let cost be a barrier for your ideas.

2. You don't have to spend money to put something out - My app is hosted on vercel, uses Supabase for DB and realtime functionality, vercel crons for automating tasks and cost me 0$. The only spending I have had is the domain, which cost me <7$.

Sub-reddits are strict about self promotion so you get immediately flagged for mentioning your product even if it adds value to that conversation. This could be a personal bias/category of my product/ skill issue so YMMV.

1. Reddit isn't a great place to get users - Contrary to AI recommendations of posting on subreddits to gain users, I found it to be not helpful at all. Most people there are trying to promote their own products so you get very few people trying your product and sharing feedback

Some numbers for context: - 1,067 visitors and 3,948 page views in 30 days - 60% of users on mobile - Traffic from 6+ sources, Instagram being the highest Now the insights:

Thanks, yours look really cool as well, will give it a proper shot later today. Re:puzzles, I used the lichess DB and then had my own processing to filter them down to positions where there could be a clear best move, generated and validated alternatives with Stockfish.
