Do one thing for schools in this crisis.
Vaccinate all school staff before schools re-open in 2 weeks.
There are fewer than half a million of them and that's fewer than can be vaccinated in one day.
You can do it and I'd even say 'please'.
So please. 🙏

Always struggled to understand why the idea of vaccinating teachers ahead of reopening schools is such a contentious issue.

Blimey. “An education source said they believed the row could be resolved, adding: “No 10 will come up with a FORMULATION OF WORDS that Whitty can live with.”
I’d rather they just made schools safer! Why the resistance? And why the fingers in the ears?!

Something I’ve always firmly believed in, there’s always a reason behind children’s behaviour 🤍

They can put people in tier 25 if they like. While schools - including primary schools - remain open, cases will continue to rise at their current high rate, putting innocent lives at risk.

🚨#COVID19UK infection among school age children rises sharply again🚨
More than 1 in 40 secondary pupils and 1 in 50 primary children are infected. This is result of Government’s failure to protect schools.

Retweet if you agree...
No school should be out of pocket for keeping school safe or keeping children in school when staff are isolating.
All extra COVID costs for supply etc should be covered by @educationgovuk

I hope I'm wrong, but I can't see how Lockdown2 will work if it ignores the exponential infection growth in education. #CloseSchoolsNOW #closetheuniversities
