MGNREGA operationalised the Right to Work. Midday meals translated the Right to Food into a tangible entitlement. The RTI empowered ordinary citizens to demand transparency and hold those in power accountable. There is a reason these rights-based interventions have attracted such fierce ideological opposition. At their core, they challenge hierarchies of caste, class and religion. They recognise that dignity, food, livelihood and accountability are not favours dispensed by the powerful, but rights that citizens can claim. The distinction is fundamental. Rights create entitlements and privileges preserve hierarchies. And for those invested in preserving those hierarchies, the democratisation of rights is deeply inconvenient. After all, a citizen who can demand what is rightfully theirs is far harder to patronise, exclude or control.

What kind of government sends bulldozers to destroy bookstalls? Well, there is a precedent. In March- April 1933, the Nazi paramilitary forces did that in name of action against the un-German spirit.

FACTS SPEAK FOR THEMSELVES ... something sellouts will never understand. ☺️
Weekends are heaven for small traders - like those who sell Mobile covers for ₹100 .. it’s these days when the weekend revellers come and buy from them that their house runs .. some told me we have barely earned .. and it’s festive season .. the timing of these protests are not good for them .. are the CJP , OPP making a mistake with this timing of protests ? Why hurt the poor now ?

corruption in the West is so rampant they had to rebrand it as “lobbying“ so maps like this can maintain their propagandistic value
