💔 KOREAN ACTOR LEE JI-HAN LOST HIS LIFE WHILE TRYING TO SAVE A LITTLE GIRL. Lee Ji-han was only 24 years old when he died during the deadly Halloween crowd crush in Seoul's Itaewon district on October 29, 2022. Many people first knew him from Mnet's Produce 101 Season 2 in 2017, where he competed as a trainee hoping to become an idol. Although he didn't make the final lineup, he continued pursuing his entertainment career and eventually transitioned into acting. He made his acting debut in the 2019 web drama Today Was Another Nam Hyun Day and was filming MBC's historical fantasy drama Kokdu: Season of Deity at the time of his death. But perhaps the most heartbreaking part of his story is what he reportedly did that night. According to an eyewitness account, Lee was on his way home when he noticed a young girl trapped in the suffocating crowd. Rather than simply walking away, he reportedly tried to help her escape. The girl survived, but Lee was caught in the deadly crush and lost his life. His agency, 935 Entertainment, later confirmed his death, describing him as a warmhearted person who always greeted others with a smile. The Itaewon disaster claimed 159 lives that night, most of them young people who had simply gone out to enjoy Halloween. Lee Ji-han had an entire career ahead of him.
