𝗬𝗼𝘂'𝗿𝗲 𝗦𝘂𝗿-𝗥𝗼𝗻-𝗱𝗲𝗱 🚔 South Wales Police has launched its own fleet of electric motorbikes to tackle crime. Usually, when a Sur-Ron turns up in a police story, it's disappearing down an alleyway with an officer on foot somewhere behind it. A standard Sur-Ron Light Bee X can reach 50mph, which doesn't help. Not this time. South Wales Police now has its own fleet of the lightweight electric motorcycles, to tackle the crimes the public raise, such as drug offences and theft. They can cut through busy, congested areas and get down the narrow roads that police cars can't. Assistant Chief Constable Tom Williams said: "This new investment is our latest tactic development to tackle criminal activity in our community." The force has also trained drone pilots and bought six new drones with Police and Crime Commissioner Emma Wools, with more tech to come. Note that anything The Met do, everyone else seems to catch on fairly quickly. So, dear Met, if you're watching this, robot dogs with laser beams for eyes please 🙏🏻 [Credit: @swpolice] #SouthWalesPolice #UKPolice

Around 15,000 workers develop hearing problems caused or made worse by work every year, while an estimated one in five workers is exposed to harmful levels of noise at work. The effects can be permanent, with workers often unaware they are being harmed

THE MYSTERIOUS DRILLED STONE OF ANCIENT EGYPT Meet one of the most intriguing stone artifacts ever found in Egypt, a massive granite block precisely cut and drilled thousands of years ago, standing silently in the desert landscape. Estimated to date back to the Old Kingdom period, this stone challenges our understanding of early Egyptian stone-working technology. What immediately draws attention are the perfectly round cylindrical holes drilled straight through extremely hard granite—work that, even today, would require advanced tools and controlled techniques. The clean edges, symmetry, and alignment suggest a level of mechanical precision far beyond what is typically attributed to ancient copper tools, raising ongoing debates among archaeologists, engineers, and researchers. Standing beside this block, one cannot help but feel that parts of ancient Egyptian knowledge have been lost to time. Whether the result of forgotten methods, experimental engineering, or an underestimated civilization, this stone remains a powerful reminder that the past may have been far more technologically sophisticated than we dare to imagine. #archaeohistories
