"Don't give more than you get, kids. You'll be setting yourself up for disappointment."
//Meta commentary? Maybe. But we keep trucking on and I'm liking my new enthusiasm for writing Clint again //
Clint's children:
Cooper: His best skills are annoying his sister and baseball.
Lila: Might be a future Olympic medalist in archery. Empathic and sweet.
Selene: Adopted as a baby. Mutant. Sassy.
Kate Bishop: Her surname isn't Barton, but who cares?
More of Clint's children:
Marya Maximoff-Barton: (verse/sl with @onequeenofmagic) Clint and Wanda's baby witch. Inherited her mother's powers and nose scrunching and her dad's attitude.
Lucky: Golden Retriever. His best buddy. Also the best boy. Loves fetching and cuddling.

Clint: Are you sure you're ready for S.H.I.E.L.D academy, little moon?
Selene: Uncle Fury warned me you would say that. You trained me well, you know that. Trust me.
Clint: You don't even use a bow like your old man!
Selene: I have powers, dad...
Clint: little cheater...
// I've been questioned about this a few times in dms over the years, so I might as well clear it out. I rarely use Nate Barton on my writings and the reason for that is that my Clint is divorced. A process that happened between the first two movies, so Nate wouldn't been born +
I prefer to write him divorced to make shipping easier while still keeping him a father, because I think this is important to the character. He still has 3 kids, with me adding his adopted OC Selene into my writings. So, Selene, Cooper, Lila...and Lucky. <3 that's his world +
And of course, there's also little Marya Maximoff-Barton, on my sl with my dear @onequeenofmagic <3. I might put a better version of all of this on pinned later. //

"Ever since we became partners, Natasha spent most of her Christmas with us. My children would kill me if I didn't brought their aunt Nat every Christmas."
He spent the whole day in the barn, where construction noise could be heard. Was he finally fixing the tractor?
Of course no. That thing can stay broken forever, he was building an obstacle course for Lucky to train and have fun.

"Remind me what your costume is about, besides overall goth, sweetheart?"
"I'm a vampire princess, father. Take me to the piano, let's play together."
"....why you're talking like Victorian British lady?"
// Halloween at the Barton's. Daughter's FC: London Thor //
"Christmas. You're part of the family, like Natasha. And like her, you'll spend Christmas with us. Also, don't worry, you won't have to wear a sweater. But Kate might try to convince you to."
"Okay, that's it, you'll spend Christmas at my homestead. You can't say no. Also, Kate will be there"

// Clint would totally get confused about why his teenage daughter was talking like a Victorian British lady until he realizes it's part of her vampire princess thing, but you can bet he would have the biggest, brightest and proudest smile at her playing the piano with him <3 //
Lucky greatly welcome the last, his mouth slightly opened in that characteristic "dog smile", his tail wagging calmly from side to side. "My kids picked up this costume. Lucky is just too chill, he's just happy to be there." He said with a chuckle. "How's Goose? Being a while..."
