This was my mother’s favourite game at the Puja Pandal - she and my son used to play it and the joy of winning biscuits and soaps among other things! She is no more Gosh festivals are so hard.
Remember those ring toss games at melas? Won myself an Oreo! Also tried shooting balloons with an air rifle. Turns out the pellets r silver painted moong dal! Who knew? Empty nesters rediscovering childhood, one mela game at a time! On way to cards party now. #balance_of_life

why always a Thar?
MEET THIS THAR IDIOT! 🤡 The Nexon is driving peacefully in its own lane, yet this clown keeps calling him L and gadha. A Scorpio driver flashes to overtake. The Thar guy gives him space, but the moment the Scorpio passes, this idiot starts flashing repeatedly to annoy him. Bhai, driving kar raha hai ya ego satisfy kar raha hai? People like this turn peaceful drives into unnecessary road rage and put everyone at risk. What would you do if you encountered a driver like this?

What an absolutely stunning clip. Ray, Om Puri and Smita Patil during the dubbing for Sadgati!
A rare behind-the-scenes recording of Smita Patil and Om Puri rehearsing their lines for the dubbing of Sadgati (1981), with director Satyajit Ray supervising.

We're seeing a number of videos of police brutality at the protests and outside, in Delhi. Many of them may not even be police. Without doubt, MEITY will send orders to X , instagram, facebook and youtube to take the posts down. Keep offline copies of these videos as evidence

Amid a charged environment, I'm not here to take sides. But it's hard not to speak up when you see visuals like these coming out of Delhi. A cop brazenly heckling a woman protester in this manner is absolutely UNACCEPTABLE. I'm a big champion of India, and the growth and opportunity it presents. But no one in their right mind can condone this. (Views are personal)
Delhi police finds a new way to remove a female protester - position a male officer behind her - put both the hands in the air - bump her

🚨BREAKING: A revolutionary new cancer treatment called Histotripsy is showing incredible promise by literally liquefying tumors using focused sound waves—no surgery, no chemo, and no radiation needed. Developed by pioneers Dr. Zhen Xu and the late Dr. Charles Cain at the University of Michigan, this FDA-approved technology is now being used at leading hospitals like Johns Hopkins and the Cleveland Clinic. How it works: - A robotic arm delivers precise high-intensity ultrasound waves straight to the tumor. - These waves create tiny gas bubbles inside cancer cells that rapidly expand and collapse. - The mechanical force destroys the tumor cells, turning the mass into liquid debris that the body naturally clears away. - It also appears to stimulate the immune system to better recognize and attack remaining cancer cells. - Because it relies on mechanical disruption rather than heat or radiation, it spares healthy surrounding tissue. Patients often undergo the quick outpatient procedure and go home the same day. It is currently treating liver tumors, with trials expanding to kidney and brain cancers. This could be a game-changer in the fight against cancer.
Readers added context they thought people might want to know
Histotripsy received FDA clearance in October 2023 for noninvasive destruction of liver tumors and has been used at centers including Cleveland Clinic and Johns Hopkins since. Kidney applications are in clinical trials; brain uses remain preclinical research. histosonics.com/fda-awards-his… hopkinsmedicine.org/news/articles/… my.clevelandclinic.org/health/procedu…

No, you cannot walk 10,000 steps daily, get 8 hours of sleep, cook every night, clean every day, take care of a family, make time for your own hobbies, and still be productive at work every day. This is not just propaganda, it is nonsense. Free yourself from it.
