Great Scott!
We care about electrical power
Once upon a time when controlling a 1MW battery we joked about managing 1.21 GW (equivalent to 600k homes!)
This week we flew past that milestone (at 88 mph, clearly š)

Hydrogen for heating is like sparkling mineral water for flushing toilets. Possible, but ludicrously expensive. Actually, it may not even be possible. 120 lobbyists wonāt fix the physics. Or the economics.

Less than perfect conclusion to #COP26 . We should have been much more ambitious. Regardless, it is now time to act and hold countries accountable to deliver!

This is an essential big step by @eliacorporate and @OctopusEnergy, green and cost effective grids will only happen through digitisation and mass scale consumer engagement.
Groundbreaking deal between @eliacorporate & @OctopusEnergy to work on digitising Belgian/North German Grid, using flexibility & tech to make the transition to green energy cheaper. Make no mistake, this is huge: rapid digitisation is key to deliver net zero without massive costs

Our best chance for a sustainable future is emissions reductions & a swift transition to clean energy.
@IEA's new report shows that we are not on the right path in our fight against the climate crisis. Leaders have a chance to course-correct atĀ #COP26. I hope they take it.
Todayās climate pledges would result in only 20% of the emissions reductions necessary by 2030 to put the world on a path towards #NetZero by 2050.
Reaching that path requires clean energy investment to more than triple over the next decade š iea.li/30oet1G

At this early stage, what a validation to receive the support of @algore and Generation Investment Management.

Britain is too reliant on gas for both heating and electricity. We need to electrify heat and increase renewables deployment, fast, if we want to avoid skyrocketing energy costs.
The gas crunch hitting the UK and Europe now means prices are between 5 and 6 times higher than they were in September 2019.
This is feeding through to effect everything from household electric and heating bills to the cost for industry
