Used to work. At a lot of places. I am now retired and have nothing better to do ;-) I am unapologetically Canadian. Canada is not for sale.

Please adjust the speed limit on the Canadian Alaska highway to 5 (five) km/h. This measure would be almost free to implement, and could be accomplished today.

There are no heat pumps of Canadian origin. Here’s an idea: sieze the Stellantis Brampton factory based as a contractual non-performance measure. Build Canadian designed, built and assembled heat pumps using Napoleon, our only heat pump assembler and Magna. Suppliers [Napoleon] -> Deals and HVAC assembly I.P. [Magna International] ───► Core Integration & Inverter Intelligence ▲ ├─── [Martinrea / Dana] ───► Evaporator & Condenser Coils ├─── [Linamar / McLaren] ───► Heavy Compressor Castings & Machining └─── [Multimatic] ───► Weather-Proof Steel Cabinets and other 100% Canadian owned or Canadian Publicly traded companies operating in Canada. Use Canadian resources like Stelco steel, XPtronics PCBs. All Canadian heat pumps using all Canadian components and labour. Make the federal and provincial grant programs cover the most, if not all. Use auto tariffs on American origin cars cover this pivot. @VictorFedeli @fordnation @MarkJCarney @melaniejoly @PierrePoilievre @MaritStiles @avilewis

Everyone is assuming that our future immigration boom will be from Asia. What if it came from Europe, as a result of the E.U. Association agreement? Fact is, Canada needs immigration to maintain what we already have. If we became part of the USA, it would be Americans…. I’ll rather the Europeans to tell you the truth: more of the same way that Canada was originally built.

Not that I begrudge farmers anything, but I thought I would highlight the system differences: The USA is allowing dyed diesel to be used on the roads by farms. Is this a subsidy that is factored into the free-trade discussions with Canada when talking about dairy and beef tariffs? Both countries give their farmers breaks, sometimes it’s taxes, other times in capital gains, and things like deductions and insurance as well. It’s not enough to create a trade war over. Both counties are different. BTW, I do not feel that Canadian farmers with quotas should sell excess to the USA or anyone else. They have chosen to produce for Canada and if they have excess for a valid reason, it should go to the benefit of Canada or it should go to the starving as charity. Did you know that Canada invented powdered milk? Making surplus milk into powdered milk for third world countries that are starving, rather than dumping it down drains, is one way our government could give back to our farmers.

Canada’s Borders Are Indivisible 🇨🇦 In light of recent referendum talks in Quebec and Alberta, and Donald Trump’s comments about Canada becoming the 51st state, it is time for a firm reminder of constitutional reality. Canada’s boundaries are indivisible. Here is why 👇 1/ From the Treaty of Paris (1763) and the Great Peace (1701) to the BNA Act and the Clarity Act, Canada has always been an evolving partnership. Our internal terms can change—and they have—but our external borders are locked under international and domestic law. 2/ The Supreme Court of Canada made it clear in the Secession Reference: no province can unilaterally vote itself out of the country. A provincial referendum holds zero legal authority to redraw the national map or partition Canadian sovereign territory. 3/ International law (uti possidetis juris) strictly protects established national frontiers. Sovereignty belongs to the Canadian Crown and the federation as a whole, not to individual provinces or sub-national declarations. 4/ The Bottom Line: Canada is an organic, unified nation. Our constitutional flexibility exists to manage our diversity within the federation—not to authorize its collapse or assimilation. 🇨🇦 No provincial vote, no political grandstanding, and no foreign assertion can dissolve the bonds that unite this country from coast to coast to coast. We are, and will remain, one sovereign and indivisible nation. #CdnPoli #Constitution My Canada includes both Quebec and Alberta. We can change relationships within, but our unified external border will remain. @MarkJCarney @PierrePoilievre @realDonaldTrump #BoycottUSA

In order to increase immigration in Canada effectively, we must return to allowing immigrants to live only in our less populated centers, and even then, distributed throughout our vast country. Get a commitment for ten years after becoming a citizen for residency area location. @MarkJCarney

Canada leads the world in providing kits to convert diesel locomotives to hydrogen using Ballard fuel cells. Why not a “special project” to green all locomotives in Canada, and being operated by Canadian railways (even in the USA). This might actually save some carbon credits for a change. @PierrePoilievre @MarkJCarney @VictorFedeli I’m sure the ONR rail shops could benefit from learning to install these kits, that are made in Calgary now. @fordnation No need to build new high speed rail when this sort of project could exist.

Let’s institute financial accountability in Canada’s banking system and ensure that USA funds are not used to lobby the indigenous groups making the Pacificlink Pipeline decisions. I am assuming that the provinces and federal governments involved are already being held to this.

Canada must take real steps to give advantage to Canadian owned and operated companies, versus predatory multinational and foreign owned companies. This is our way to success. @MarkJCarney @PierrePoilievre @fordnation @MaritStiles Your commitment to this in the form of action would be most welcome.

How much foreign money is being invested into the Alberta referendum? Are we monitoring it through our banking system? @ABDanielleSmith @MarkJCarney

#BoycottUSA @VictorFedeli @fordnation @MaritStiles Ontario’s provincially legislated public sector pensions are worth about $600 billion and probably $250 billion is invested in the USA. Why are my public tax dollars being used that way, while I am being asked to “buy Canadian”? Time for the FSRA and the ministry of finance to “take the liquor off the shelves” and repatriate the money into Canada, or at least outside of the USA. @MarkJCarney @PierrePoilievre Are you listening Federal government? You are my next analysis target…. Canadians will be monitoring your effectiveness! @globeandmail @TorontoStar @CTVNews @CBCNews @RobertFife @acoyne @CharlieAngusNDP

Happy to oblige. Just as soon as he resets tariffs to the level they were at when he was re-elected, and offers us something of equal value in exchange for the reduced potash costs.

When @elonmusk took the chainsaw to USAID, how much free food, grown in the USA stopped shipping to Africa? Are USA farmers still being subsidized to not grow food, just as Canadian milk and egg farmers are being paid to not produce food? @MarkJCarney @realDonaldTrump Why is the world starving?

I personally think that Britain should bring back free trade within the commonwealth. Canada is still a member of the commonwealth! @MarkJCarney @KingCharlesUK @realDonaldTrump

If DJT stops all trade with Europe because Canada is an EU “Associate member”, would he also stop all trade with Canada? Please? I guess *that* would fix the trade deficit!

Kenneth Taylor was Canada’s ambassador to Iran from 1977 to 1980. During the 1979 hostage crisis, after militants seized the US embassy, he and colleague John Sheardown hid six escaped American diplomats in their homes for nearly three months. Working with the CIA, they arranged Canadian passports so the Americans could leave posing as a film crew. The six flew out safely on 28 January 1980 in the operation later called the Canadian Caper.

I’VE CHANGED my mind. Buy the Saab Gripens. Hundreds of them. Build them in Canada. Cancel the F35 order entirely. Sell those we’ve already committed to another buyer further down the order book. Someone will buy them. If not, fill them full of Kentucky bourbon and torch ‘em.

I sure hope Canadians holding US debt are paying attention and selling the US debt for gold, or other more dependable forms of collateral. The USA will enter a debt spiral just like Venezuela as soon as other countries refuse credit to them. They are printing too much money and becoming a bad credit risk with the policies DJT is enacting.
