Sometimes we act like jerks when our needs are not met. That's not an excuse. It's a reminder that the person you labeled a jerk is human just like you.

I wonder how many relationships would be healed if we recognized mental illness as a real illness. You wouldn't give up on your friend/partner if they had cancer. Don't give up on them bc they're struggling with anxiety/depression. #love #mentalhealth

Just like physical injury, sometimes we need to rest to allow our mental wounds to heal. If we don't, we keep getting re-injured. Healing takes longer and the scars are even worse. #MentalHealthAwarenessMonth

This is true for relationships, too. Until you feel and share your feelings, your relationships will be... stunted, untrustworthy, unstable. Whatever kind of team you're on, embrace vulnerability to strengthen & heal the bonds between you. #agile #courage
You can't think yourself into healing. You have to feel what you're feeling. Sit with the discomfort. Sit with it longer. Breathe. Take a look at it. Sit with it long enough to feel it pass. Know you're ok. Repeat. #feeltoheal

If our self-worth is low, then we'll defend against criticism, and dismiss any compliments. If our self-worth is healthy, then we'll learn from criticism, and feel appreciated with compliments.

Feeling is even scarier, that's why most people numb, detach, disconnect. Judging others helps us justify our unwillingness to be vulnerability.
