Happy 5 year anniversary to the greatest hockey documentary of ALL-TIME!!!
Crime & Penalties debuted on 8/31/2021 & it was an instant SMASH HIT!
Today’s homework assignment… Watch Crime & Penalties on Netflix! Even if you’ve seen it before-it’s time to watch it again (and again, etc.)!
Extra credit-like and repost this to your peeps! I’ll give away a cool piece of Trashers memorabilia if we get at least 100 likes! It’ll be a surprise, but I can guarantee there aren’t many of these floating around!

Seriously cannot wait for next weekend. It’s a date I’ve had circled on my calendar since our promotional schedule came out.
We have so much cool stuff planned both in the arena and on our broadcast. Hope to see you all there.

I started rewatching the @Netflix documentary "Untold: Crimes & Penalties" while working on my second book, and I must say, it might just be the best sports documentary I've ever encountered. The story is absolutely captivating and even served as inspiration for some elements of "The Sopranos." If you haven't seen it yet, you're truly missing out on something remarkable. @dbtrashers

Ranking the UNTOLD sports documentaries I’ve seen on Netflix:
1. Crimes & Penalties: Danbury Trashers, minor league hockey team, what a WILD ride
2. Johnny Football: An adrenaline rush through the highs & lows of Johnny Manziel
3. The Girlfriend Who Didn’t Exist: Really makes you feel for Manti Te’o
4. Operation Flagrant Foul: This Tim Donaghy documentary makes you wonder how many NBA refs are really involved in gambling & rigging
5. Swamp Kings: Lot of drama with Urban Meyer and those Florida Gators
6. The Rise and Fall of AND1: Personal for me because I loved And1 when it was happening in real time
7. Deal with the Devil: Emotional story of Christy Martin’s life & professional boxing career
8. Shooting Guards: Gun incident between Gilbert Arenas & Javaris Crittenton
9. Jake Paul the Problem Child: I never followed Jake growing up so it was interesting for me to learn about his career evolution
10. The Murder of Air McNair: Didn’t dive deep enough into the details of the mystery surrounding Steve McNair’s shocking murder
11. Breaking Point: I just didn’t take much to Mardy Fish, dunno why
12. The Liver King: Never broke through on its subject, he kept them at a distance, just wasn’t good
Watching next: The Fall of Favre
Still need to see:
- Malice at the Palace
- Caitlyn Jenner
- The Race of the Century
- Hall of Shame
- Sign Stealer
- Hope Solo vs. US Soccer
