Ever wanted an interactive lightning-fast solver for models in physics, chemistry, or biology? Do you have a web browser? I'm thrilled to announce VIsualPDE.com, built explicitly to solve PDE models interactively on most devices, written by @bj_w95 @Pecnut and I.

Why did @Canvas_by_Inst make it so you don't see the full history of comments on an assignment, but now they are only visible by submission attempt? This is such a pain! I can't see my old feedback while evaluating a new submission.

Last week I attended @JointMath, the largest annual mathematics meeting in the world. It was such a full circle moment for me. I went to JMM the first time 11 years ago (also in Boston) because I heard that’s where the mathematicians would be, and I desperately wanted to be one.

Ordinary citizens aren't able to buy Congress, so I'll have to turn down the offer.
Do you buy that … Rep. Kevin McCarthy will eventually become speaker? 53eig.ht/3VVA8Wt

My Nancy Pelosi story. My son died on January 3, 2015. The funeral & first night of shiva were on Jan 6. Congress had just convened, was in session. Nancy came to the shiva—and stayed for 3 hours. She had every reason not to be there, or just make a brief stop. She is a Mensch.

On the importance of standing in the gap. Fantastic 🧵
My mom & I just disagreed about something pivotal that happened TO ME 25 years ago In the story I end up triumphant. We both agree on that. But,how I got there? She had a wholly different version I said, that’s not what happened!, & suggested we trade stories I gave my version

This requires new decision variables for identifying students who do duplicates so that I can have an objective that measures this quantity. 8/8

And the revised model actually showed an assignment without duplicates. Because I had a conflict between constraints.
Or what I should have suspected at the time, one of the constraints was miscoded.

Came back as infeasible. Because of course it did. 6/8
